SOURCE: Instruction Manual

Hampton Bay is carried by Home Depot. You must have a Home Depot near you.. ( everyone else does). They should be able to make a copy of the manual for your specific fan. I'm sure if you contact Hamptom bay directly by going to www.hapmtonbay.com and selecting their contact us menu, you should be able to get the information from them. The question is about why your fan motor isn't operating and it's pretty simple. You either do or don't have power getting to the motor, if you do .. then you may have a bad motor or it is mechanically bound up.. Are you sure it has power? If it does, are you sure that power is getting to the fan wire in its junction box? If it does, is the fan mechanically bound up ( meaning that the blades can't be rotated by hand? ) Those are the fan basics you need to get resolved.. Most fans are wired pretty much the same way ( black is hot, blue is tied to hot if you have a light fixture/fan combination, white is neutral and attaches to all white wires in fan junction box, green is ground and should be connected to the metal housing of the fan. This may differ slightly if you have a remote control set up but in general, that is how it is wired.. Good luck.. and hope this helps you identify the problem.. Fan or Power to the fan,,,

Pull cord is stuck on a hampton bay ceiling fan model ac-552

Most likely broken. Sometimes you can wiggle and work it loose. If not you can replace the pull chain switch. You will have to (remove power first of course) get to the actual switch. most fans this is relatively easy. Often it is just under the glass light cover. There will be a retaining nut and the switch should come loose. Home depot, lowes, and most hardware stores should have a generic replacement that should fit. you may or may not have to cut the wires to remove the old one, but a couple wire nuts to install the new one and you should be good to go. Hope this helps. If you need further assistance post a reply in the comments, and don't hesitate to leave good thumb rating if you found this helpful. Thanks, and good Luck!
