I have just installed a valid version f Windows Vista to my Vaio VGN BX196VP and the finger print scanner and the mouse scroller have stpped working for some reason. Could anyone assist with both of these problems please.

probably the cd may be corrupted or first u format the previous installed advanced os using that os installation disc and then install xp.because if u r using windows vista or seven it won roll back to previous versions.

As if now windows 7 drivers are not available but you dont have to worry because Basic system functionality should be automatically enabled with the
drivers included within the Windows 7 operating system.

Did u install any other programs anfter your vista instalation? try to uninstall them one by one, My guess is that one of the programs "kidnaped" you camera. By uninstaling one by one you can easy find out witch one it is. After uninstalling one program test your camera. If it works again you that program is the problem.
