Olympus Tough-8000 Flash Charging Warning

It could be the capacitor in the flash is defect, but it also could be your battery (batteries) are to low on voltage. ALthough when that happens the camera should switch of.
There could be all other kinds of defects, like oxidation of some contacts or a broken flat cable in the camera, But my guess is the capacitor does not charge to the correct voltage.

Batteries don`t last very long. Also there is a small round battery in the bottom & was wondering what its for?

Digital cameras are notorious for using lots of power. Unfortunately, there's a temptation to use cheap batteries, since they don't last long, which makes the problem worse.

I would give up on trying to use Alkaline, or even NiCad. The only practical battery to use is Nickel Metal Hydride (NiMH). You have to be disciplined about remembering to recharge them instead of throwing them away! Get two sets; charge both, put one set in, and keep the other in your camera bag. When they run flat, put in the spares, and put the others on to charge. When they're fully charged, put them in your bag for next time. Each charge should get you at least half an hour's continuous use, and/or take 200 or more photos.

The tiny round battery is to keep the clock running; when you notice the clock is wrong, change it.

Some cameras need to know which kind of battery you have fitted; if yours is one of them make sure the setting is set to NiMH, otherwise it'll tell you they're flat when they're not.

Please advise how to close the battery cover

Hello and Welcomethe Canon A560's bottom panel is reasonably flat, with a sliding door to access the battery compartment and a threaded plastic tripod mount off in the opposite corner. The battery door and tripod mount are far enough away from each other to permit quick battery changes while working with most tripods To close the battery cover first Hold it and make it Flat and then by the tip of Your thumb Press it in inner side To demonstrate it the image is given below: angel_bird_0.jpg

Hi I have a Panasonic Luminex DMC-TZ%, but everytime i swap the battery the time date function re-sets to zero: 1 jan 2000, just like an old 35mm film camera when the internal battery when flat. Any ideas...

There is probably an additional battery (usually a button battery) that keeps the internal memory going when there is no battery. It needs to be replaced.

Low battery all the time

this is not a good signal. you can make this prove. clean the internal camera contact with a specific contact spray and one cotton fioc
ore you can use normal denaturated alcohol. this is one possibilty. if you dont have any betterment. its probably that the camera have a eletronic defekt. this is not so uncommon with old camera. the camera have internal fuse the works not good and gives this problem. motherboard defekt. good luck i hope for you that is only a dirty contact faulty.

My batteries keep going flat

Digital cameras EAT batteries. Buy only the best. If you don't mind paying a lot, use lithium batteries. They last longer but, the price doesn't actually make them a savings. They are only more convenient. If you have rechargeable, they lose their ability to accept a full charge after a while. Once they've been charged about 400 times, their life gets shorter each time you use them.

It keeps doing this when trying to turn on lens comes out then go's rite back in. message on the back of the screen says turn camera of and back on again.

remove battery while lens is out. try reseting the cam usually near batt need paperclip to push reset. if the lens makes grinding noise lens assembly gears are done. flat rate from sony is usually close to 80% of what you paid for cam.
