Black "blobs" on PC monitor

hey there I think the problem is your magnet. Make sure to never keep magnets near your laptop. A magnet can erase the data off your disk and cause issues with your monitor. Anything that uses electro-magnetism to function will be affected by magnets.

Toshiba 32AF45 CRT TV Distortion and Flicker During Moments of High Contrast?

Check its main power regulator section circuit. Replace all the electrolytic capacitors there. This is a power supply fault.

2 inch band across the bottom of screen

Downloading programs would not cause the type of problem you're having. It should be a hardware issue only.

1.The bottom area of your screen is close to a small curcuit panel behind the bottom plastic border of the screen frame. This little panel/bar is called the Screen Inverter. If its connection plug has loosened it could be the culprit.

2. The Display Cable behind the screen panel has become partially unplugged or damaged in some way at the top of the screen, or, it has looseened at its plug connector just underneath the back edge of the power strip panel/keybaord area so that pressure applied to the bottom of the screen frame makes it connect correctly.

3. The Screen Panel itself is failing.

These are the 3 areas I'd say you should have a laptop repair tech look at locally in your area.

Best of Luck

Brownish band across top of screen

Please press the WIDE button on the remote repeatedly to remote the Bands. If the issue persists, you may need to change the Aspect ratio to 4:3 on the Video source that you have connected to the TV. Check the link for more info:

I have wo black bands across the screen on my Pentax Option 550

have you tried changing the camera's settings back to default? in the camera's menu, find 'reset settings' or 'factory settings' or something like that to reset the camera settings.. you might have messed with some settings, otherwise it may be hardware failure, may be the LCD of your camera.. hope not so.. lol

Depending on the manufacturer of the cable box, there will be a menu somewhere regarding aspect ratio using the terms - cropped, zoom, and a few other terms as well. You probably want cropped, which will cut some of the sides off, but you wouldn't miss the picture as a whole when view at full screen. Hope this helps!

Acer TV Plasma screen problem

The plasma display screen is made of a matrix of elements connected to cables along the side and top. On your unit, some of these many, tiny connections are making contact intermittantly thus losing the elements in that area. These contacts are held in place with just pressure and if that is disturbed, you lose that line of elements. Try squeezing the cabinet of the TV on the outside at the top in the area of the loss and see if that makes a difference. May have to go inside and see if the contact assembly is disturbed or warped or something.

Black horizontal lines across bottom 1/3 of screen

This is due to vertical section failure. Change the vertical supply rectifier diode and supply filters. Then check zener diode leakage in pumpup circuit section. Also check any electrolytic capacitors leakage in vertical section. If it is old model tv change vertical height, vertical lenearity presets also. I hope given details useful to you.
