Logitech LX 710 keyboard: Enabling hot keys and special functions

I just recently purchased the LX 710 keyboard and mouse set and I was really hoping that for once all the special keyboard functions would work. I guess it's not a big deal if they can't but this is probably the third multimedia keyboard I've purchased that can't actually do anything in the realm of multimedia. The volume controls work but I can't assign functions to the F9 - F12 keys and I can't change tracks or pause music. I'm running Windows XP. I suppose this really doesn't matter all that much, but if there is a relatively simple solution I'd like to take advantage of the full potential of the product. Any help you could provide would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Have you installed the SetPoint software? If you have, you can program certain keys on the keyboard thru the software.

What do I do if I have lost the reciever? I have a logitech cordless LX710 keyboard/mouse and I don't have the reciever. is there somewhere i can get another one?? or can i bypass it?

You can check the Logitech website and see if they will sell it separately but I wouldn't hold my breath. They make more selling the set than they do selling the individual parts.

ALL I WANT IS THE DRIVERS FOR THE LX-710 KEYBOARD AND MOUSE MY DISK IS DANAGED WITH OUT HAVING TO DOWN LOAD ALL THOSE DRIVER REPAIR SOFTWARE. THANKYOU

Give up... I've screwed around with logitech drivers for my Mac and it is a lost cause. My Mac recognizes the keyboard and mouse generic but only a few functions work. Tried installing new drivers again today and my Mac slowed way down like it was on drugs. Just forget it dude you will waste your time as I have. Apple has a relationship with Logitech but they point the finger back at Logitech.

I pressed the moon key in the upper right corner of the keyboard (sleep?). How do I turn the keyboard back on now?

Um...Did you try pushing the button again? I really dont know. If you have a manual, you may want to look in there, or contact Logitech, and have them walk you through it. Sorry I couldn't be more help. Good luck.

Scroll Lock on -- mystery

On the Logitech LX710 Lazer the Scroll Lock option is toggled by holding down the "Function" key and pressing the "Pause/Break" key. If you look at the P/B key you will see a little orange symbol of an arrow pointing down to remind you of this feature. This can be disabled in the Setpoint panel by selecting Keyboard and Keyboard Inactive Keys then place a check in Disable Scroll Lock so you may have to remove a check mark first.

Logitech LX 710x Keyboard

I have had the same problem for ever. I have found that unplugging the USB dongle, waiting 10+ seconds and than plugging it back in tends to fix it right away.

After a few weeks you might have to do it again. Annoying problem but a simple fix
