Toshiba 3550 Copier - Printing a faint ''gray'' band over text

Drawer feeding:
A3, A4, A4-R, B4, B5, B5-R, LD, LG, LT, LT-R,
FOLIO, COMPUTER, 13"LG, 8.5" x 8.5", 8K, 16K, 16K-R

Bypass feeding:
A3 to A5-R, LD to ST-R, FOLIO, COM-PUTER, 13"LG, 8.5" x 8.5", 8K, 16K, 16K-R

Check ink-levels -- no ink means no printing.
Run a few more "print-head-cleaning" cycles -- clogged ink-jets cannot spray ink onto the paper.

Try an old toner cartridge if you have one. Does it do it when you use the copier function. Steven 805-520-3003

It isn't a fuzer problem it is most likly a image drum problem. To fix you have two choices replace the image drum with a oem part or a refurbished part or replace the printer. sometimes it is cheaper to get a replacement printer than to replace this part.

go through your printers software in your start menu and clean the heads.

Please try to edit the setting of your printer particularly the printing level of your printer such as the ink it consumes and the color of the ink you are going to used. So if you want to have a good quality result then please select the best quality printing it can give of your printer by editing the printer setting.

I don't have operational sorter, but I can locate one for you if you are interested. Now, the solution to you copier is for you to go into the service mode and change the setting from sort to non-sort. This is the step you need to take. Go to the Service mode by doing the following.

1. Turn of copier
2. Push on 08 then Power on copier
3. enter 4 then
4. Push Print
5. Change the current value from 1or 2 to become 0
6. Push or press Interupt to reprogram the copier.
7. Then enter 09 to get out of the service mode.

you have to service the printer,(fuser unit)
