Question about Sanyo DS31520 31" TV
My Sanyo model# DS31520 was showing fine then just went out. Now it won't turn on. When I plug it in, it makes a high pitched sound. The noise slows down and stops when the TV is unplugged. the power button doesn't work. What's wrong? Can it be fixed? Signed, TVless
Yes,it can be repaired, sometimes for no reason components fail and they need to be replaced,if you are familiar with tv service you can check the horizontal output transistor,it might have gone bad(shorted out)and is all is going to take to get the set back running, sometimes the output trasformer damages the transistor and both have to be replaced, first just change the transistor and if it blows up again then replace the transformer,if you are not too familiar with servicing a tv be safe and call for assistance from a servicer,if you take the set to them it should be expensive.Let Us know how it goes or if you need more information.
