Question about Saniflo 013/003/005 Sanibest Toilet with Grinder Series Pump in White Round

1 Answer

Saniflo Sanitop pump keeps running

We have a Sanitop Saniflo unit in a small downstairs bathroom which services a small hand basin and a toilet, just recently the pump/macerator has started to continuously run after use, the only way to stop it is to switch off the power at the isolation switch. Are there any valves or switches that can stick which can may be cleaned or replaced?
Thanks.

My pump runs at least once every hour. One poster suggested that the toilet is overfilling. How do I check this?

My sanitop is not working. i've changed the fuse but no joy. can the motor be burnt as it may have been on for a while since my son left the tap running

If anything goes wrong with the unit it usually happens in the pressure chamber, the motors are very durable, any part in there can be replaced. Im thinking the capacitor might have seized up and will probably need to be replaced.

Need to fit a toilet to an upstairs room with only a 2 inch pipe for evacuations of water and waste ,a hand basin also

The perfect solution will be to use a Sanitop, Sanicompact 48 or the Sanistar model. Visit the Saniflo website at www.saniflo.com for more detailed information.

Do the saniflow toilet need to be plumbed in to mains waste? I have a patient who needs a toilet located outside the house that needs to be trouble free

Hi and welcome to FixYa, I am Kelly.

In short yes it will need plumbed with a smaller drain line to the home waste drain.

The unit uses a fast-rotating blade to reduce waste and toilet paper in the flush water, which is immediately and entirely released under pressure through "small-diameter piping" to the sewer or septic tank. No special maintenance is needed and the pump is sealed for life. This simple and cost-effective alternative to conventional plumbing is ideal for basement renovations and other home-improvement projects. Properly sized, a Saniflo macerating system can handle all the fixtures in a bathroom, including the sink, shower, tub and toilet & endash; even on a septic system. What's more, these fixtures will work up to 12 feet below and as far as 150 feet away from a septic tank or sewer line.

indicates a blocked or very dirty unit. Try cleaning with a saniflo cleaner - can be intorduced via wc bowl without unit removal. if this fails then its time to remove the unit and clean / look for blockages

We had that problem but the unit was built in and I could not get at it, the outlet pipe sounds like it is blocked, I cleared mine by connecting a pipe from the cold tap to the outlet pipe and flushing.
