Does not seem to be a faulty button, rather a faulty remote.

Buy a replacement here.

Hi,

Initially, pls try cleaning/scraping the battery terminals/connectors. In some instances, it may be necessary to bend/stretch these terminals connectors so as to put more contact pressure to the batteries. Additionally, in some versions, the continuous red light is an indicator that the battery is nearing its end. If for some reason the electronics inside the remote is faulty, then it might be more economically reasonable to purchase new. Incidentally, if the Kenwood RCR0721 is no longer available, there is an alternative remote, RTA70158008 but will only work with DVD/CD functions only.

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information. Good luck and kind regards. Thank you for using FixYa.

check out the area where you insert the battery in the remote may be got moisture or dust collected there.open the remote control and clean it internally.and then check if still does not work.may be the problem with the circuit of the remote has gone faulty.also check what type of batteries u r using are they of any good companies or of any local company.local battery gives this types of problem.if the batteries are of good company then also has this problem.
then last option replace the remote.
    thanks.

A button may be stuck?  You can take the remote controller apart to see if any buttons are stuck.

I need code(s) for my DVD Video, Model #: NB093 remote control to program my Philips DVD Player/VCR, Model #: DVP3345V/17. Can you please help me? I would greatly appreciate it. Here is a picture of it.

http://remotecodelist.com/remotes/magnavox/magnavox.htm lists the code for your device as possibly being 1000, 1001, 1002, 1003, 1004, or 1005. Of course, you also have the option of using the remote controller's "Code Search" button. 25300580-iv4burzhkawezvl2jbah1xae-2-0.jpg With Codes:
Turn on the DVD/VCR unit directly. Continue to depress the remote controller's "Code Search" button for about ten seconds, release, & the light on the remote controller should stay on. Enter the four-digit code (1000, 1001, 1002, 1003, 1004, or 1005) for the DVD/VCR unit. The remote controller's light should go off. Press the remote controller's power button, & when the DVD/VCR unit turns off, then you will know that the remote controller has been correctly programmed.

Without Codes:

With the DVD/VCR unit on, continue to depress the remote controller's "Code Search" button for about ten seconds, release, & the light on the remote controller should stay on. Continue to tap the remote controller's UP or DOWN channel button ONLY UNTIL the DVD/VCR unit responds. Then, press the power button on the remote controller once the channel has changed. If the DVD/VCR unit shuts off, then press the power button again to turn it back on. If the DVD/VCR unit turns on, then the remote controller has been correctly programmed. Otherwise, repeat this whole process until the remote controller is correctly programmed.

AUDIOSONIC TV/DVD COMBO KM1412D I NEED THE CODE TO PLAY MULTIZONED DVDS PLEASE.

The danger in using DVD unlock codes is that they can invalidate your warranty, or if done incorrectly, "brick" the device. Essentially it's not legal to give out these codes.

Nonetheless, many people find unlock codes by googling the brand and model of their DVD.

Hello

you can test your remote with a mobilephone camera like this:

open camera on the phone an hold the remote front against the camera

(approx 10cm from it) press a button and look in the display on the phone.

if the controller works you should se a blue light in the display coming from the remote front.

if no light: try other batteries again note the battery polarity. no light= controller broken.

if there is light= the remote is working. try to disconnect power from the DVD for a few minutes,

and try again. if it still not works the player is propably broken.

Good Luck

My Blu ray player keeps flashing an "RC-1" error anytime a button is pressed on the remote.

Remote command mode is different to the unit. Try resetting the remote by doing the following;

While unit is on, but no discs loaded or playing, remove the batteries from the remote (as if you were replacing them), press any button on the remote to clear its buffer, then, if the batteries you removed are OK, re-insert them. Point remote at the player, press and hold 1 and ENTER/OK buttons together for 10 seconds, then release. This should restore your remote's command to the original default mode, and it should control the player fully.

Panasonic and some SONY units operate on this principle with remote command modes (these differ between models). RC1 / DVD1 / SET1 is usually the default.

Very easy to do, takes a few seconds, and costs nothing.

What does RC 1 mean

RC means REGION CODE - Depending on the numbering, it means that your DVD will only play in countries designated by the code.

Example

RC 1 means Region Code 1...... This disc will play in dvd players in Canada, United States, U.S Territories , Bermuda.

RC 2 = Western Europe, incl. United Kingdom, and Central Europe; Western Asia; including Iran, Israel and Turkey, Egypt; Japan, South Africa, Swaziland, Lesotho; French overseas territories

RC 3 = Southeast Asia; South Korea; Taiwan; Hong Kong; Macau

RC 4 = Mexico, Central and South America; Caribbean; Australia; New Zealand; Oceania;

RC 5 = Ukraine, Belarus, Russia, Continent of Africa, excluding Egypt, South Africa, Swaziland, and Lesotho; Central and South Asia, Mongolia, North Korea.

RC 6 = People's Republic of China, Hong Kong

RC 7 = Reserved for future use (found in use on protected screener copies of MPAA-related DVDs and "media copies" of pre-releases in Asia)

RC 8 = International venues such as aircraft, cruise ships, etc.[1]
RC ALL means all 8 flags are set and can play on ANY player
0 or no region means no flag is set can be played anywhere or flags 1-6.

I hope this helps.
