Take complete Back up of your files before restore your device at any time .

• Re install the latest version of iTunes.
• Open iTunes, and then connect your iPod to your computer.
• after few minutes it will appear in the source list in iTunes.
• Click the Restore button
• Possible restore options are appear on screen.
• A message will appear prompting you to enter an administrator's name and password. wait for some time and at last it

Not all ipod classic work with your SC-HC57 you need an older Panasonic SC-HC30 to work with that ipod :( or an iphone or ipod touch to work with your SC-HC57

make sure the ipod classic has up tp date software on it. ive had this problem before and the ipod had old software on it. should work just fine unless something is wrong with the ipod classic. good luck

I would hold the menu and center button at the same time until you get an error from itunes that the recovery software is downloading

then restore the ipod

if this dose not work it is probably a hard ware issue and you need to get the ipod repaired

No warranty? Google "iPod repairs" in your country and you should be able to find someone who can fix it. The usually have a self diagnosis on line so will get an idea of the cost before you begin

First try resetting the iPod. If this does not work then restore it.

I have the exact same problem, having previously tried the component cables. I called tech support who stated that my ipod classic must have some sort of hardware malfunction when otherwise fully functional. I can get sound through the RCA cables, but no video. What gives?

You probably have a bad firmware. If you have an old firmware back up you are advised to restoreit.Otherwise just update your Ipod's software through itunes and it should be fine..

Make sure you have you user's manual. If you don't have it, go to Apple website.

Make sure the songs you are trying to add are in the format suggested in the user's manual - warning: WMA files are trouble for reasons I don't feel like explaining anymore.

If they are, then make sure that you still have enough memory left in this player.
