Go to the "Resets" menu and select the "RESTORE FACTORY SETTINGS" selection. This will revert your machine to the condition that it was in when it came from the factory. Remember, the default for networking is DHCP, so once reset and online, you could use the web interface to configure it further.

SOURCE: HP LaserJet P2015n Printer IP adress

To Me it looks like your printer is set to automatically select an available IP address. If there is no IP available you get the 0:0:0:0 You need a static IP set up for the printer, this will make sure that no one can use the IP. If this is a company printer, get IT to set it up for you. If its your home network you can set this by yourself by either connecting your printer via usb and using the software from HP or if you have an IP you can log into your PC by entering the IP address in the address bar of your browser. You should get the HP page up for your printer. Set the IP from there in the networking section. I hope this helps a little

SOURCE: how to i configure the

Hello, When you first install the printer onto the Network it will automatically find an IP Address, this is called "DHCP". In order to change the IP Address the printer needs to be setup as what is known as "STATIC". You can do this in in a couple of ways 1) Type the IP Adrees into an internet explorer Browser, this should open up the printers EWS (embedded Web Browser) if it opens click on the networking tab - Chnge the IP Address , set DHCP to "OFF"and click Apply. 2) From the printers control panel - push the "MENU" button and scroll down to the "CONFIGURE DEVICE" to "I/O" to "EMBEDDED JETDIRECT" Withi the TCIP setting you are able to change the printers IP Address

I can not print, and when I try to discover a new IP adress, there's no IP adress found. How can I be able to print again?

The way to find your ip is to printout the configuration page on your printer. You may need the network configuration report if it has one. Now you know the ip address you need to make sure the printer is set to DHCP which will mean it will automatically assign itself an ip address.
Go into the pc and find Add a printer. Tell it its a network printer and it will search for it and find it.
The rest is history!

Bought a printer server called Networking USB LPR Print server. It`s softwear does not support OKI but the install wizzard asks for installation disk from OKI. When I start the OKI driver installation...

  1. log into router
  2. look at the leases issued by the dhcp server in the router
  3. note the ip address assigned to the printer
  4. change the lease to be permanently leased to the printer server
  5. the print server will have a device name . you should be able to figure out which ip address is assigned / leased to it .
  6. You never assign a print server , or server or printer with a temporary dhcp ip address ! hence why you should change the lease of it to permanent .
  7. Then it will be assigned the same ip address by the dhcp server .

HOW DO YOU NETWORK A canon imagerunner 1023

Hi,
do You want to connect the machine on network or .... ?

First check if you on back side of copier have the network connector.
If yes, you need to connect the normal network cable if you have network switch or cross cable if you are connect directly on PC.
Then you must enter the IP adress in machine, under user mode (*) under system settings, under IP adress. Also enter subnet and gateway adress.
Free IP adress you can check on your pc under CMD and type ipconfig, to see your ip, subnet, and gateway. Then type : ping XXX.XXX.XXX.YYY The YYY marks number that you can change and must not be same as yours PC.After typing ping .......... and you have answer DATA LOST that means the ip is awailable and you can type it in copier.
Install drivers and select tcp/ip port.

If these isnt solution that you asked for, you can also contact me on [email protected] with more detailed description.

Hope that helps!

I want to connect my SCX 4500w to a new network (wireless). when i try to use a web page to configure the printer settings it doesn't response... I check the IP and write in in my Internet Explorer,...

You could try having your Samsung SCX-4500 print out a network configuration sheet. It will have the printer's IP address, default gateway etc.:

1) Press the <Menu> button on your printer panel
2) Scroll using the (<) or (>) navigational arrows until "Network" is displayed
3) Press the <OK> button
4) Scroll using the (<) or (>) navigational arrows until "Network Info" is displayed
5) Press the <OK> button

Your printer should print out a network configuration sheet. The IP of the printer appears in the TCP/IP information on this configuration sheet.

Note: Your printer's IP assignment should be "Static" not "DHCP" (You may skip the following steps if your printer's IP assignment is already "Static")

To change your IP assignment from DHCP to Static:

1) Open up your Windows browser
2) Type in the printer's IP address in the address (location) bar of your browser:

Example: http://192.160.0.100 (use the real IP you found above from the network information sheet)

3) SyncThru should load - Click "Network Admin" or "Network Settings"
4) Click on the "TCP/IP" option on the left side
5) Change the IP address METHOD to "Static"
6) Click <Apply>, then <OK> or <Exit>

Now your printer is ready to be added to your network. You have the information you need from your network configuration sheet. Your install should now proceed smoothly.

I hope this information was helpful!

Configuration of LAN fax

The best solution I use is Smart Net Monitor, which is supplied with the Ricoh disks or can be downloaded from www.ricoh-usa.com . First you need to install the lan fax driver, after that then install Smartnet Monitor.

From there click start, and then control panel, then printers and faxes, then right click on the Ricoh LAN fax driver, from there click properties, click ports, then click add a port, under available ports you will see smartnet port (highlite) and then select new port, a new box will come up and then select search, the software will then make the connection and add the port. Besure to click ok and apply and then you are connected
