Question about HP Compaq Presario v3000z Notebook
I have replaced the fan and flashed the bios (which is what hp recommeds to fix). It works with a usb fan under it, so all is not lost but i want to fix it right.
1st thing to look for is if the fan spins up when you turn on the laptop. If so, the problem may lie with the operating system. If the fan does not spin up when you turn it on, then I would say something is wrong with the motherboard.
