Re: Get Moniter Speakers Working

Hello First of all you need a sound card on your computer with a Spk. (Speaker) or Phones (headphones) Out Jack it might be a symbol of a small speaker or headphones. You have to be sure you are getting a actual sound output signal from this sound card too. If the sound card is not working your moniter speakers would not have a signal to drive it. You also need a 1/8" Stereo 2 male stereo plugs on both ends, one end plugs in back of moniter other plugs in back of computer like I mentiond above. Make sure your Mute button is not selected on your computers volume button usally at bottom right of screen. Make sure the volume buttons are up to aprox 3/4 up also. Then for last on the moniter look in the menu i think you might have to keep pressing the menu button but i kind of forget now but its a Spk setting and volume setting in this speaker setup within the moniter as well make sure this is turned on and set at a higher volume level as well. Thats about all I can say without taking the moniter apart and checking the jack and wires and speakers. I would suggest you take it to a electronics or a tv repair or computer repair person to go any further then this. Hope you take time to read all of this I tried to put every step in here to help anyone out with this problem. Thanks for reading. Ken T

Buzz coming from speakers. x2 gen 19 inch lcd been working for 2 years on old xp and now win7 no problem with win7 for 4 months before this. checked for updated sound drivers. plugged in usb powered...

Buzzing is usually caused by bad audio ground connection. Try insert and reinsert the audio cable first. It can also be the sound card. Try using the MP3 player as the sound source feeding the monitor, if it still bad then it can be problem in the DC filter caps in the power supply, or bad sound IC in the audio board inside the monitor. Please post back what you find.

Just hooked up computer and monitor and cant get any sound to play through moniter. do we need external speakers?

The Samsung SyncMaster 2233BW does not have built-in speakers, so yes, you need external speakers separately for sound.

No sound..

first make sure that your monitor has all of the drivers and speakers built into it.and that you have a a good audio cable.know that you have to have it in the audio port with the green around it(the middle one)you can't take regular speaker and plug them into the monitor.but you can plug them into the green port in the middle.also make sure that your other speaker are good.if you got any more questions email me at

Hp w2207 monitor has no sound

Does the moniter have internal speakers? If so then there is a volume controller option on the moniter or else you have to use external speakers.

It's could be your LCD Monitor got surges inside...
Turn off your computer and unplugs all the cables from the monitor and computer too. Wait for 10 seconds... then reconnecting all the cables back and turn on your pc. If that doesn't solve the problems... then open the back cover to checked any loose audio cables. Good lucks!
