I have the same problem on a trimmer that is less than a year old and has only been used for about three hours. It won't start and totally floods after a few pulls, so that when I take out the plug, and turn it upsude down the petrol runs out. After emptying the tank and pulling the cord with the plug out until the crankcase is empty, the trimmer will start if I squirt some ether spray into the carb. Obviously, it stops after a few seconds. Putting petrol back into the tank leads to the same thing - a drowned machine. Really sick of it!!

The most likely possibility is that the carb needs rebuilding. Just cleaning may not help. Gasgets go bad over time if fuel is left in the trimmer.

What is the factory carbuerator settings for ryobi cs30 weed eater

The Walbro WYC-9 only adjustment is the idle speed. This is just slow enough for the trimmer head clutch to disengage.

Ryobi 780 r won't stay running

replace the carb. You are flooding the engine because there is an internal leak that a carb kit won't fix allowing the gas to continue to flow

Ryobi ex 26 starts and idles but when i hit the trigger to go in to run phase it dies . any solution ?

This sounds like a fuel delivery problem. If fuel filter, fuel lines, air filter and muffler are clear...that is probably the case. The fuel pump diaghram in the carb maybe has failed and it would need to be replaced. They have diaghram kits and complete carb rebuild kits available for the name brand carbs. Some Ryobi machines have been known to use a Chinese made "knockoff" carb on some of their products which has the same design and features, but you would have to cross-reference model 3 to carb model for your machine. Hopefully it has a ZAMA or WALBRO on it. Check all the items listed above and remove the carb and check for debris inside (esp. In the little round fine mesh screen on the side with the square-type cover (metering diaghram side). The fuel pump diaghram is on the oppposite side of the carb. These get brittle over time and don't flex enough to do the job and cause problems like you have.

How do i repair a choke lever in a weedeater te475y gas trimmer? Does the lever pull straight out of the carburetor.

Upon inspection of this model machine, it appears that the choke lever shaft is pressed into place when the carb is manufactured. Removal may be possible, but probably more damage will occur. I have this same model machine with a Zama carb having flooding issues after soaking in a bath-type solvent overnight. This is NOT recommmended.
Here is a parts breakdown for your machine:
Unfortunately, there is no avaiilable release date for the part you need in question....On the page I made available it is part # A800 or A801...depending whether you have the Walbro or Zama carb. Mine has the Zama.

String trimmer, fuel lines disintegrated, I need routing.

The Walbro has two connections on it for the fuel line. My Walbro has one connection on the side of the idle screw and main fuel adjusting screw. This connection hooks up to the suction side of the primer bulb. Usually the shorter stem. (You actually **** fuel through the carb instead of pushing it through.) On the other side of the carb is the other hook up. It draws fuel from the tank. This line will connect to the side of the tank that has the filter. The other side of the tank is your return and it hooks to the other connection on the primer bulb. Usually the longer stem.

I got a fs 66 weedeater hat wont start the carb has been rebuilt now there is too much gas in cylider which is flooding the plug and is blowing out the exaust any ideas

First check to make sure the primer tube and fuel pickup tube are'nt reversed. Primer tube is smaller.. If they are correct then when the carb was rebuilt either the gasket was installed after the fuel pump diapragm or the inlet needle wasn't adjusted correctly. Go to or depending on your carb for correct instruction.

Where do I connect the fuel lines on my ryobi weedeater?

I have Ryobi775r string trimmer with walbro WT526 carb. The fuel lines connect 3 parts eg. gas tank, bulb (mine is a separate bulb not part of carb.) and the carb. The bulb has 2 fittings- a short and a long one. The carb also has 2 fittings- one on top (vertcle) and one on the bottom (L shape). The gas tank has two holes in the bottom one for over flow line and the other for fuel inlet to the carb. This has a filter in the gas tank. Now the connections- connect the long fitting on bulb to the tank. this is the overflow. Connect the short fittin on bulb to the carb top (verticle) fitting. Connect the fuel line (with filter - it is in the tank) streight to the L fitting on the bottom of the carb. Make sure the fuel lines are of right diameter. Too big-and you will have leaks. You are done connecting the fuel lines. just for info. the bulb is there just to pull a vavcume in carb so that the fuel is sucked into the carb and is present there when you start the engine. Hope it helps. Good luck.

It acts like it is flooded, starts with choke off and throttle depressed. runs until carb runs out of gas then dies

Yes, Your carburetor sounds like it needs cleaned. Or you may possibly need to purchase a carb. kit for your trimmer if the cleaning doesn't do any good. When cleaning the carb. use a Den Tek Brush, (teeth cleaning brush), to clean the small ports. Also, check the small screen in carb. Can get clogged easily.
