Password/Bootable decive

The error PXE-E61: Media test failure usually means the hard diskhas failed or the hard disk needs re-seating or the disk controller is faulty.First - re-seat the harddisk and reboot the computer. If the computer does not boot up then reboot andgo into the BIOS configuration to see if the BIOS detects the hard drive. If itdoesn't detect the hard drive then it could be faulty. Then the hard drive needsto be replaced in the computer/laptop, Windows installed and the computer orlaptop's device drivers plus your programs etc. to get a functioningcomputer/laptop again.

My hp laptop will only show black when I logon to it

i had this same problem just 4 months ago. its caused by a virus and i think it was b'cuz of autorun.ini and so go to www.kaspersky.com, and download it and update it, and it'll find your virus. but also, u gotta re install windows and dont plug any hard drives in your computer until u've fixed the viruses on your computer. if u want to save your stuff, then right when u've booted your computer, hit F8 a bunch of times to go to safe mode and hopefully u'll be able to get on then back up your stuff to your hard drive. do you have your operating system disk? u mite need that or HP computers usually have a built in hard disk where it can reset windows for u. but do that and u may just be able to use windows once and when u shut down, thats usually your last time that u'll see it so dont shut down. try CTRL+SHIFT+ESC and that'll bring u to task manager but the virus u have probably has disabled that but try it anyways, and when or if it pops up, hit file>new, and type explorer.exe and your desktop will pop up.

VERY SLOW..AND some internet not working!

One of the first things to do is download a program called "Malware Bytes" (Google it). Install and run the scanner/cleaner to wipe any nasties off of the machine. You may find that after running this program many of the woes you've described magically go away (especially the slow operation)...

Anti virus 2009

This is known as a non intrusive advertisement trojan, and it's near impossible to get rid of. The reason is that when this invades your machine it places several inactive copies of itself throughout the computer. When you stop one, the others are basically notified, and one or two more will open and leave several more, but not all of them will open. After a couple of months the number is exponential. Most anti viruses won't find them because they are non intrusive, laying dormant, or are in files that aren't scanned on a regular basis, ie... picture files, screen savers, music, etc... The only sure way that I've found to get rid of them is to completely wipe the hard drive, reformat, and reinstall the operating system.
