My phone was texting fine friday until I went in and just deleted my old messages. Since I haven't been able to receive text messages and while it says I've sent a few I talked to the intended recipient and they never got it. I have called Verizon twice, and they had me do *228 which re-programs the phone. It seems to fix the problem temporarily, but it is never a permanent fix. I did that for the second time 2 days ago, and already I am not receiving texts again. From what I have read on various posts, this seems to be a common problem with this phone. I'm going to a Verizon store tomorrow hoping someone can help me with this because calling tech support seems to get me nowhere.

My phone only receives text messages sporadically. I'll send myself a text from my pc and usually I don't get it immediately. Sometimes I'll get 3 or 4 at once that were sent to my phone form the past several hours. It's frustrating because I need it for work and I can't count on it to work at all.

This is an international symbol on the start of area codes. IE I live in Australia ans text messages received from other Australian mobiles have +61 which is the AUS international area code. If you replace the +61 with a 0 (in the case of AUS text messages) this is now the full mobile number the text was received from. Hope this helps.
