Problem for Canon PIXMA iP5200R InkJet Photo Printer
I also cannot install this on 2000 Professional
I was interested in this post as I have tried everything to install this. It is not faulty as it installed straight away on my other pc which is running XP. Canon must be aware there is a compatibility problem with this and 2000. We can't be the only ones! I have uninstalled and re-installed numerous times, tried different usb points & leads but my old Canon S900 is working perfectly with these.
Device manager doesn't show any malfunctions.
i gave up with the Canon help desk. They pointed me in the direction of a special driver download for 2000 but that didn't work either.

- Yes, I have tried that also. I am going to have another attempt shortly as the battery on my computer was going and that has been fixed now. Could have been something to do with it.To be honest I got so fed up with all the re-starting and fiddling about that the printer is just sitting here gathering dust at the moment!I have it in my office and couldn't spare any more time on it.
I will let you know how I get on. Thanks very much.
