Zoom Hi Did you sort out your internet connection problem? I ask as I have the same problem. Help would be appreciated. Cheers

You may do isolation to sort out Internet connection problem. If you are experiencing Internet connectivity problem and you are using a router, then bypass the router and connect your computer directly to the modem. Observe then if you will experience or not the same problem that you have when PC is connected to the router.

For wireless connection problem and you only have one wireless computer, then try connecting your wireless computer to a different wireless network and check if same problem is experienced.
In these ways, you would know what device to re-configure or re-set up.

i think the issue is more to HW than SW
just a thought but, place the ethernet card in the slot properly but donot put in the screw to attach it to the cabinet and check to see if the card is getting detected

also try checking if te card works on some other machine with either XP or some other

just a hunch though

LAN internet connection problem in COMPAQ V 3000 notebook


Just connect the lan cable from the modem port saying "DataIn" to your laptop, select Automaticaly detect IP setting and let it assign via DHCP. Once it gains the ip (usually 3-4 minutes) use any java enabled browser (like ie,mozilla firefox) and go to any site it will automatically redirect you to Tata Indicom login terminal and fill in the required blanks and you are connected to the internet.

ok, thats very very slow. no wonder your having problems.
You will need call your internet provider to sort this, there maybe a problem at the exchange. mine comes back as 6.3mb down, anything under 1mb is deemed as un acceptable

P2p stands for file sharign programs. direct downloads are just forect donloads from the internet without file share programs

Computer immediately restarts every time the Zoom wireless device is recognized


try updating your windows OS..some components might need to be installed. Check also the website of zoom if they have a updated driver that may fix the issue.

You might also want to check some softwares/driver that may conflict zoom.

The easiest way to sort it is to enter your routers settings page in your internet browser or desktop icon and make sure you enable DHCP which will give your pc an automatic ip address. Make sure WEP or similair is off until the set up is sorted out. Next go to your properties of your wireless adapter(Card) and go to internet TCP/IP and click properties and make sur 'Obtain IP address automatically is ticked. No click Start, then Run then type:- ipconfig /flushdns then press enter.(note the gap between ipconfig and the /). Restart your pc and router and try connecting again
