We have had 3 of these coffee makers and have had the same problem with each (call me a ******....I like the machine except...)
They last 1-2 years then they start to take forever to finish and the whole time it is steaming and burbling, just like it does at the cycle. However it does this the whole time. It takes 20 minutes or so to finish, or more.
We have tried cleaning with vinegar but no better.
what do you suggest.
You likely have a clog in the water line. If you are comfortable doing this:
1. Remove bottom cover. Mine required a Secure-Torx head.
2. In the short length of rubber tubing leading from the water INLET to the heater you will feel a hard lump. This is a piece of plastic that restricts water flow to the heater. The hole in this device is only about 1/8".
3. Disconnect one end of the hose and try to work out the clog with a piece of wire or coat hanger.
4. If you damage the hose, remove the device, clean it, and replace it inside a new piece of hose.
Here is the basic troubleshooting for the Cuisinart coffee makers:
Make sure all baskets are in proper place – especially if unit is beeping.
Do not use a paper and a gold-tone or other permanent filter at the same time.
Unplug for LONGER THAN 15 full minutes to reset.
Clean by brewing 2 oz of distilled white vinegar/2 oz water.
If these methods fail, the unit probably requires replacement – call Cuisinart as they have a longer-than-standard warranty.

Same problem, on my 3rd Cuisinart coffeemaker. Once I run cleaner through it, it stops working and it's time to replace it.
I have the same problem. The coffee maker is only two months old!

Water steams and gurggles. Very little water makes it to the caraffe. Don't think there will be coffee tomorrow morning .
