Go to http://www.spybot.com/ and download Spybot Search and Destroy. Install and scan. Use AVG for anti-virus [http://free.grisoft.com]

I would use Norton Antivirus loaded onto a clean machine and scan your usb to remove it then scan your infected hdd with the same clean computer.
I charge GBP35 to clean like that, GBP30 for the hdd and GBP5 for the usb key.

Run a virus scanning program to remove the virus.
If you can get into the Internet you can run a WEB based virus scan. Try on of these virus scan.

I formatted my Dell Latitude D620 because it was infected with virus now i need new drivers without infection of trojan virus

The best way to take care of this is to go to Dell's support site:http://support.dell.com/support/downloads/index.aspx?c=us&l=en&s=gen
Somewhere on your computer is a Dell Service tag. You just input that number, and you'll be able to get the drivers you need.

Hi,

If you want to clean up your pc of viruses, Trend Micro's free online virus scanner 'Housecall' is a good way to do it.

If you want to find the serial number of your Windows installation so you can reinstall, download the 'Magic Jellybean Keyfinder' - it works well.

I have a major virus and am wondering if eee pccan

I personally don't recommend wiping your whole computer unless its a last ditch effort. But wiping your computer and starting with a fresh install will always get rid of any virus you previously had.

I suggest that you take a different approach and clean your computer first. If you can connect to the internet with the infected computer go to this link and download Malwarebytes' Anti-malware Here
If you cannot connect with the infected pc, use another one and download it, then copy the file to a usb thumb drive or burn it to a blank cd and transfer it to the infected computer.

*Once downloaded, close all programs and Windows on your computer.
*
follow the prompts in order to install the program. Do not make any changes to default settings. When the program has finished installing, make sure you leave both the Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware checked. Then click on the Finish button. **Note. If you cannot connect to the internet with the infected pc, make sure that the Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware box is UN-checked

*
Once the program installs, MBam should start automatically.

*
On the Scanner tab, make sure the the Perform full scan option is selected and then click on the Scan button to start scanning.

*Once the scan is finished (could take a few minutes) a box will pop up stating: "The scan completed successfully. Click 'show results' to display all objects found." Click [OK]

*Once you see the main page again, click on [show results]
*Next, click on Remove Selected button and the program will remove everything nasty its found. **Note: You may get another popup stating that Mbam needs to restart your computer to finish removing infections. Make sure you say yes or ok and allow it to restart.

*I suggest that after the first reboot you should run another complete scan just to be sure.

*A log file with actions taken by Mbam will also popup. If feel like you need more help, you can click on [file] and go to "save as.." and save it to your desktop. Then send an email to pallanmagoon@gmail.com and attach the logfile you just saved to your desktop to send to me. I will review the infections found and can tell you if you need to take further action. Its up to you.

Also, make sure you have some sort of Anti-Virus program that has a real time scanner. Malwarebytes' Pro, AVG, & Dr.Web are a few that I trust.

Hope this helps!

My dell laptop is frozen. I was down loading anti virus software and it crashed. I had just scanned it for viruses and it said I was infected with the viruses worm and trojan horse. All my desktop icons...

I guess the main thing we should consider is how badly you are infected. If all your icons are gone because you're that badly infected then I assume you can't regain internet access. This being the case I can suggest two solutions. 1. Go to your nearest library and download a copy of SDFIX and/or MALWARE BYTES and store these on a flash drive. Then you can clean your computer from this flash drive. 2. If you're babdly infected and cannot use a flash drive then you'll need to slave your present harddrive to an uninfected harddrive. Probably best done by a reputable computer repairperson. Give these a try and hope for the best.

Thanks

My computer has a virus and now it won't let me download any security software. what do i do?

If your PC wont let you download any security software then you should go to a public library and download your software, save it to a disk and go home and install it....run the software and check for updates if you cant update, run the software without updating after the scan attempt another update, I recomend AVAST ANTIVIRUS HOME its free for a year with registration and works great

Personal antivirus won't let my laptop connect to the internet

Please follow the instructions in this malware removal guide to safeguard your system, prior to installing MBAM to scan for and remove this malware from your computer. Then use this guide to remove personal av from the computer. You will need to download the temp cleaner, Erunt and Mbam to another internet connected computer, then burn them to cd for installation onto the infected system. You should not have difficulty installing them, unless there are some other problems present as well. In that case, see the pinned instructions on this page to help you get mbam installed and running on the infected computer. Update it if possible, then Run a quick scan and fix any problems detected. Then reboot the system, go directly to windows update and apply all critical and important updates to your system. Make sure your AV is updating correctly as well.
If you decide you want to have a malware expert look over your log files once you are connected to the internet, to ensure you have cleaned the bugs out, create a post at one of the forums listed in the end of this article. Someone will take you under their wing and help to make sure you got it all...
Good luck.

I hope this information allows you to resolve this issue. If you need further assistance, please post back with a comment to this thread.
If I've managed to answer your question or solve a problem, please take just a moment to rate this post....thanks!

your comp is infected for sure.i`ve seen many cases where my customer`s comp is infected and they face the same problem.
Simply turn on your computer. Wait for that rebooting message to appear. and go to: Start --> Run
If you can't find it quick enough.
Pressing the "Windows button" + R simultainusly will do the trick. a little window will pop. type in "shutdown -a" without the quotes. and press Enter or click ok.
download, install and run this software.after running the scan clean all the infections and restart your comp.
