Here in Colorado, you just open the dishwasher and the dry air will do the job. The real problem comes when you run it and leave ... and your dishes stay wet until you get back.

Frankly, I can't understand why Bosh does not add a small fan to run air thru the beast at the cycle completion; since dishes are hot they would dry fast. But the damned box remains hermetically sealed, unless you open it.

I was able to fix this by using rinse during the cycle.

Check your wash arms - make sure the holes or nozzels are clear (not blocked), and make sure they are free to turn. Make sure you are not over-loading the dishwasher or placing large plates or pans in front of the soap dispenser. Next is to check to see if enough water is going into the DishWasher (DW). This varies with different models, so it's hard to tell you how much is enough. Next thing to check is to make sure the heater is working to heat the water during the wash cycle. (Listen for the soap dish to open, then open the door 10 or 15 minutes later and see if the water is hot.) If your dishwasher has a removable filter, you need to take that out and clean it at least once a month. And finally, if your dishwasher is all encrusted with calcium and hard-water deposits, you probably need to run a dishwasher cleaner in the machine. (Use Dishwasher Magic, or Finish Corp's Dishwasher cleaner, or Glisten, or even Lemi-Shine detergent-booster powder or their dishwasher cleaner.
Hope this helps!

I have a new stainless steel Samsung dishwasher. It doesn't seem to be drying properly. Dishes and dishwasher still very wet after cycle is completed.

Hello

Your dishwasher has been designed to use a liquid rinse aid. Pouring a liquid rinse aid into the proper recepticle in your dishwasher when you add dish detergent greatly improves drying performance. You can further improve drying performance by selecting the Sanitize option, in addition to the other options you've selected, and increasing the water temperature. For Best Results, use Jet-Dry Turbo

Spots and film form in your dishwasher's rinse cycle, when detergents are already down the drain. FINISH® JET-DRY® Rinse Agent works in the rinse cycle, lowering the surface tension of water and causing it to sheet. Better rinsing results in less spots and film.

If these recommendations do not improve drying time, please contact Samsung Customer Care

Hi

If you are noticing that the dishes are not clean, then there are a few things to check for. Check the soap powder if it's kept in a dry environment. Also try replacing the powder with something like a gel or liquid. Next thing to check for is the water pressure and fill valve. Check if the water is filling in and the spray arms are throwing the water with enough pressure. Try and listen to the sound if you hear a proper spraying action sound.

If it seems as a low water pressure then check the fill valve. Now, check if dishwasher is draining the water or not. While the dishwasher is working check whether the dishwasher is draining and there is not much left out water after the cycle is complete. Try cleaning the spray arm with a soft brush. The water temperature plays a major role in cleaning of dishes. The temp should be between 125 and 150 F for dishwasher to clean the dishes. Hope this helps... Please post back if you need more informatiion.

Cloudy film on dishes

Dishwashers have a part usually called a separator or accumulator which traps the dirt from the water during the wash cycles while the water is continuously recycled to clean the dishes. At the end of the cycle the separator is flushed out and the trapped dirt goes down the drain. If it doesn't get flushed out the dirt builds up till it starts showing up on the dishes. Some separators have a hole on top and one on bottom with a valve which stops up one hole or the other depending which cycle it's running. The valve can be stuck or broken causing the problem. It's located inside the dishwasher under the spray arm. Part 7 on this diagram. http://www.appliancepartspros.com/partsearch/model.aspx?model_id=5170559&diagram_id=1332418#d1332418

Dishes are left with a white film.

The problem is hard water. Go to www.dishwasherfilter.com. They have a new product out that solves this problem once and for all. It filters the water entering your dishwasher and removes the hard minerals that cause these spots. Very affordable and guaranteed to leave your dishes looking amazing every time.

Have you run out of Rinse Aid ?
This has a large effect on drying as well as how clean the dishes come out. Rinse aid [breaks up] the water dispersion, so at the end of the final rinse, the water just falls off the dishes, takes the sediment with it. So with the heat of the final rinse, & less water left on the dishes, they dry better.
