Somehow this is getting labeled as a problem with a Compaq PC, when this is clearly a problem with a Toyota car.

So this is being posted to computer experts and not automotive experts. Please try to get this posted in the appropriate category.

Good luck and I hope you find the help you need

Yes, they are both radiator fan. dependent on the temperture of the outside air and the cooling temperure on control panel. the fan will kick on when the temperture cross over the preset- set on the computer. so, either fan on, no fan, fan is runing when the car is runing or not, is not a porblem.
the porblem occures when the fan stops, and the temperture is over 100 degree outside.

1998 Toyota Camry 4 cyl.only blows warm air from heater when car is unning for say ten min. When I start driving the temp gage goes down to cold and blows cool air, no heat. I changed thermostat and...

Your radiator cooling fan will only come on when the engine temp has reached the point where it needs to have air forced through the radiator and thus bring engine heat back down to safe operating range. If your heater is not working check to make sure the fresh air vents aren't stuck open (are the controls stiff or not going all the way across?) check also that the heater shutoff valve lever which is usually situated on the firewall at the rear of the engine and can be found easily by tracing the hoses back from the thermostat housing aren't bent and/or seized up.

1991 toyota camry. It has a new radiator and cap,

the a/c when running creates a lot of extra heat and needs second fan, if second fan is not working right this will cause overheating, if fan is creating a load noise it is likely bearing is bad and will not spin as fast as it should not cooling. also check that fan it not hitting anything if you describe loud noise i can give better idea

The sensor for the fans is in the rad at the bottom. T-stat may be bad or the rad may be clogged. Cooling system needs attention.

Unbolt the pass side seat (only 4 14mm head bolts) and lay it back. This will give you the room you need to pull the carpet back from the console area and get to the plug.

TOYOTA CAMRY 2001, WHEN SHOULD THE FANS SPIN?

when the car is running, there is enough air to cool the radiator, however, when when the AC kick on, the radiator absorb more of the heat from the AC coil. there by require more cooling. the 2 fan are there for that purpose.
as far as the smell of antifreeze, you nee to check all of the cooling hoses, in the engine compartment and under the dash. sound like there is a small leak some place.
