Question about D-Link AirPlus DI-524 Wireless Router
I tried to reset the router following the instructions on the manual and this forum but it refuses to reset. I tried the reset hole for more than 20s and the wlan light does not stop blinking. I am not able to access the router setup page either, tried the usual 192.168.0.1, etc...it is like it is not connected to the pc, although when I disconnect the lan cable the pc detects it was disconnected. Thanks for any help you can give me. regards, antonio The status light and wlan light keep blinking. Wireless access point not found. Pressed reset button but it cant seems to reset. After pressing for around 20seconds, the status light keep blinking(at fast pace) and if the hard reset button is pressed, the wlan light will blink at fast pace too. wired and wireless both can be connected and cannot load configuration page at all. cannot connect to the router too as the wireless access point cannot be detect and wired has limit or no connectivity. pls help. thanks
The PC will detect a closed loop within the Network cable so forget that. Sorry but the router is bad if you cannot access it and the reset button does not help.
Have to get another 1

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

assuming your pc has previously connected to the router, why did you require a reset. Remove your RJ45 cable and try reset button for 10 secs then let go. The other problem I see is you cannot connect through both wireless and wired to one IP address, you say the wireless lan light flickers and then say it knows you have removed cable, are you trying to connect via two different computers or just one. Please reply on this post and not a new one; it's hard to follow.
