Computer freezing up

You might have a virus or infection causing the freezing. Try booting into safe mode, then download and install MalwareBytes and run a Quick Scan.

Turn off the computer, then hit the power button to turn it back on and immediately start hitting the F8 key repeatedly until you see SAFE MODE. Take the Safe Mode With Networking option (this will give you internet connectivity) and let it boot up. Safe Mode will look different to you, the screen will be darker and the icons bigger, this is normal. Open your internet browser then download and install MalwareBytes and run a Quick Scan.

Go to www.google.com and in the search box type: "Download cnet Malwarebytes" (without the quotes). Download and install malwarebytes from the sites download.cnet/malwarebytes. When the site opens up click on the Green Download button on the left. Do not click the Red Download button, that's junk. When it finishes installing the Gui Interface will open up with an offer to Accept a Trial Version or Decline. CLICK DECLINE you want the totally free version. Run a QUICK SCAN. As it scans, if it finds infections the number will be in red. When it finishes scanning, click SHOW RESULTS. A notepad text document will open up showing you the results. You can close the text document and go back to the Gui Interface where you will click REMOVE SELECTED RESULTS. The objects will already be selected for you. When it finishes removing the objects click ok and it will sometimes reboot your machine.

Why does my mouse automatically scrolls up or down on my screeen

Your mouse might be bad or you could have a virus or infection that has hijacked your mouse. Boot up into safe mode and see if the mouse is ok. Then download and install MalwareBytes and run a Quick Scan.

If the above steps does not fix the problem:

Try another mouse and see if it scrolls.

Sounds like you have a virus or infection. Boot the system in Safe Mode.

Maybe you have a virus or infection that is shutting you down if it is not running hot and you are allowed to work on the computer for a while before it shuts down. Boot the System in Safe Mode and see if it shuts down.

Download and install MalwareBytes and run a Quick Scan.

Sticky mouse hesitant

I would say you might have a virus or infection. Also it might be time to replace the mouse.
Have you checked your mouse properties in the Control Panel? Click Start/Control Panel and look for mouse. Look thru the settings and set them to default.
You can always download and reinstall the drivers for the mouse.

Get online and got to www.google.com In the google search box type: "Acer Support" (without the quotes and put your manufacturer name before Support). Look for downloads and drivers. Enter your model number and operating system when requested. Download and install the drivers.
Have you tried booting up in Safe Mode to see if it behaves the same way?

Turn off the computer, then hit the power button to turn it back on and immediately start hitting the F8 key repeatedly until you see SAFE MODE. Take the Safe Mode option and let it boot up. Safe Mode will look different to you, the screen will be darker and the icons bigger, this is normal.
If the mouse is ok in Safe Mode, then reboot again until you see Safe Mode but this time take the Safe Mode With Networking option (this will give you internet connectivity). Open your internet browser and download and install MalwareBytes.

Go to www.google.com and in the search box type: "Download cnet Malwarebytes" (without the quotes). Download and install malwarebytes from the sites download.cnet/malwarebytes. Sounds like you've got an infection. You probably need to scan the computer. Have you tried booting up in safe mode and see if it freezes?

Turn the computer off, then hit the power button to turn it back on and immediately start hitting the F8 key until you see Safe Mode. Select Safe Mode and let it boot up. Safe Mode will look different than normal windows, the screen will be darker and the icons will be bigger, this is normal.

If it does not freeze then turn it off and hit the power button to turn it on again and immediately start hitting the F8 key until you see Safe Mode. This time scroll down until you see SAFE MODE WITH NETWORKING. Select Safe Mode With Networking. This will give you internet connectivity. Download and Install MalwareBytes and run a QUICK SCAN.

I can not get the cruiser to appear when i open the program on my Acer desktop computer. How can I get the cruiser to appear

Is the cursor the only thing not showing up on the Acer Desktop? Are the icons there?

If only the cursor is missing it sounds like you have an infection.

Try booting up in safe mode to see if the cursor appears. Turn off the computer then hit the power button to turn it back on and immediately start hitting the F8 key repeatedly until you see Safe Mode. Select Safe Mode and let it boot up. Safe mode will look different to you. The screen will be darker and the icons bigger, but this is normal. Once the desktop appears see if you are still having the problem.

If the problem still exists, turn it off again, then hit the power button to turn it back on and immediately start hitting the F8 key until you see Safe Mode. Scroll down and select SAFE MODE WITH NETWORKING. Safe Mode With Networking will provide you with internet connectivity. Open your internet browser and download and install Malwarebytes then run a QUICK SCAN.

Go to www.google.com and in the search box type:"Download cnet Malwarebytes" (without the quotes). Download andinstall malwarebytes from the sites download.cnet/malwarebytes. Windows logo comes on and then followed by a black screen and tried safe mode/VGA and still the same and the cursor is moving about the black sreen and nothing else-- could you help it's windows...

Try pressing the F8 key at the startup (after power-on and before the logo comes up).
Choose "Fail-safe" mode using the arrow keys on your keyboard and press enter twice.

When windows is in failsafe mode there is a number of ways you can fix the problem.

Try this:
Open "My computer", right-click on your harddrive and choose "properties"
From there scan the drive for errors (mark the 2repair automatically") and fix them.
Reboot the pc...

Good luck
