No solution needed but do want to warn those considering purchasing a Kenmore product. Buyers beware! This is our experience and from the message boards, we are not alone.
July 2008 our not quite 2 year old front load Kenmore Elite washer started flashing F6 during the spin cycle. Many phone calls, service calls and repair $$ later, in October 2008 the Sears repair crew threw up their hands in embarrassment that their company was showing such a lack of customer service. In the end, they refunded us the repair money we had paid for parts that didn't repair the machine and left us hanging with a lemon. They replaced the touch panel, the main computer board, the wire harness, the door latch and even the motor. There's nothing more to replace but Sears will NOT stand by their product ... they won't even sell you an extended warranty because they know they have a lemon. We finally went to our state's consumer affairs department to report the terrible customer service / consumer support from Sears. We cut up our Sears cards and will NEVER spend another dime in their stores. Buyer beware!
P.S. We've since purchased LG product and LOVE it. Lesson learned ...do your research before any purchase. Sears is NOT the same customer focused company they were years ago.
A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

I have a Kitchen Aid Model # KEMS308SSS02 and I getting the follow error message... is working and was always working but the top microwave/oven does not work. ...Kitchen Aid Oven Model # KEMS308SSS02 error msg - Lost Err/ F6 E0/ ... Most "F6/E0" fault codes is usually because of a loose wire connections, loss of ...
The F6 error code means that the computer on the control didnt detect that the motor reached a high speed on the spin cycle, sometimes it thinks the washer didnt spin fast enough because of a loose wire connection either on the motor or the control boards (motor &machine control) if you find that the washer did actually spin at high speed (clothes dont come out sopping wet at the end of cycle) the wire connections or the motor control board will be the potential causes of the F6 error code. Try unplugging the machine for five minutes to let the computer reset then try again. Next check the control panel wires. f6 code flashing on display Kenmore Elite HE3 Washing Machine
An F6 error code typically indicates a controlpanel problem. Disconnect power and wait several minutes before plugging itback in. If the F6 error code comes back within a minute of restoring power, the control switch pulse return line is not connected properly. This willgenerally require professional repair.
The F3 error on this model is an open thermostat circuit. The F6 is a control or loss of power. Make sure the unit is plugged into a good 120 Volt outlet. Test this outlet with a power drill or lamp, wiggle cord in receptacle, if no other test experience or equipment is avaliable. Check the thermostate in the oven for physical damage. There may be a loose connection in the oven. This would require a good technican to find. InMrFixIt
Hi, F6 is a communication error. It is either a loose connection to the control board, or the control board is shot. They should have diagnosed this when they came out to fix it. Open it up, and look for loose connections.
