Question about Air Tools & Compressors
I have a Ingersoll-Rand SSR-EP100 compressor. I need to set it as a back up. My manual does not give me a step by step way of doing it.
U NEED TO ADJUST THE PRESSURE SWITCH ON THE BACKUP TO A LOWER PSI. TO COME ON AFTER THE PRIMARY. EXAMPLE: PRESSURE SWITCH ON PRIMARY COMP. SET AT 140-175 PSI AND BACKUP SET AT 135-170 PSI. U CAN USUALLY TURN ONE CENTER SCREW IN THE PRESSURE SWITCH COUNTERCLOCKWISE TO LOWER THE PSI.

It depends if it is the old electro Pneumatic control or the more Current Intellisys control. The other recomendation pressure setting is incorrect! EP 100 is a 125 psi rated compressor. DO NOT EXCEED THIS PRESSURE!
IF you want a lead compressor setting Ideal would be cut in 110 psi and cut out would be 125. The "Lag" setting should be 100 psi and the cut out 120 psi. If it is the old Allen Bradley swith on the older style, the top screw is the high or cut out, the bottom is the differential or Cut in. If the compressor has an Intellisys controller, the go into Operator Set Points and set the desired pressure that way
