Problem for Sony KV-32S42 32" TV
My sony Trinitron KV-32S42 keeps blinking on and off
I have a sony Trinitron 32 inch that started recently with the screen blinking on and off. The image itself is fine its just that it keeps cutting on and of every couple of seconds or so

This can be a symptom of the picture tube starting to fail or a power supply problem. Can you please verify the model number and I'll then be able to give you a few options.

Remove the back and locate the flyback transformer (part with large red wire coming out the top).
There should be 2 controls on this part. One will be labeled Focus and the other Screen. You need to rotate the screen control slightly clockwise. If that resolves the problem, the picture tube is starting to fail and you should take your time to locate a new set. Turning up the screen will only "fix" the problem for a short time (anywhere from a week to a month or more). If you turn it up too high, you will see the retrace lines in the background of the picture.
