1) If the light doesnt come on at all when you plug in the DS
there is probably an internal fuse on the DS which governs the charging of the device. You can get a kit that will charge the battery for you, usually when you buy accessory kits you get these (try argos?). I got one a couple of years ago with a battery and a dock for charging it, from argos, but I think it was discontinued.

2) if the light comes on and turns off immediately then its probably a problem with the battery. Buy a new battery, theyre quite easy to get hold of and quick to change with a screwdriver.

SOURCE: ds nintendo will not charge light flashing and think it is the connection on the ds as i have tried other chargers in it

After a bit of trial and error I found that one of two internal fuses had blown. You can bridge the fuse with a bit of solder to fix it but this means if the same thing happens again there will be no fuse to protect your DS. My own solution is to get a friend to charge my battery on their DS while I wait for a desktop battery charger to arrive from Hong Kong. I found the battery charger on ebay. I suggest you charge your battery in a friend's DS and put it back in your own to see if you DS works. If it does then you have the same problem as me.

Hope this helps.

SOURCE: my ds charger plug is bent

The only concern is if the connectors inside the charging station is corrupted. The bending is simply the outer metal connection, then bending it back wouldn't cause any damage. If the problem is further inside the station, it needs to be replaced. Nintendo can replace it for you for an acceptable price.

Game console will not charge up. have tried different charger that we know works and it still is not charging.

This is due most likely to a shorted battery. I would purchase a replacement at your closest retailer or online, and replace it.

That should fix the problem.

Good luck.

Nintendo DS Lite - does not charge

i would suggest trying to find what the issue is, if you know anyone who has a different charger, try it on your daughter's ds. if it still doesn't work, it's a DS problem...if it's under warranty, go to whatever store you bought it at and have them fix or replace it. If you try the different charger and it DOES work, then the only problem is the charger...so then all you have to do is go buy a new charger...hope this helps.

My nintendo ds won't turn on

Depending on how long you've had the DS, it's more than likely the battery. After some wear and tear, the older model batteries will eventually stop holding a charge. It's pretty inexpensive to replace as well. Contact Nintendo and find a repair shop in your area.

Ds lite charging lite comes on but when i press power button nothing happens

Are you leaving the DS charge until the light comes off? Remember that there are two likes too, one for charging and one for power. If you're just charging for some random period of time (lets say... One hour) then your Battery isn't going to be fully charged. The best way to ensure that your DS Lite is charged is to leave it charge until the charge light turns off. You can play your DS Lite while you are charging (I do it all the time), but it just means that you're just running off of the outlet.

A good test is to charge it fully (until the charge light comes off), unplug the charger cord (Make sure it's secured tightly to your DS while charging), then play for a little bit, your light should be a normal color (green).

If you cannot even play by using the outlet, then you need to
find a charger cord that actually works (You may need to send in the charger for replacement). If the same thing happens with 2 different batteries (assuming that you have two official Nintendo batteries).

TIP: Also run your fingers across the Charger cord. You're going to get a slight friction burn from the rubber, but you're going to get all of the kinks out of the wire in the cord. My charger cord had a similar problem (did not charge all the way, only charged until I moved the DS) but when I ran my fingers across it (pinching) it worked again.

Also check the pins in both charger cords, charging will not work if one pin is missing, nor if any are bent.

Nintendo ds lite will not turn on, when trying to charge the orange lite blinks once.

after researching this for a while, i heard that it is because the fuses have blown inside the ds. you can try to fix it but it is risky.
good luck!
