Re: the game load
If you click on the cd that is on the screen and the game does not start then the disk is faulty. If it has scratches on this can be repaired in places like 'game' that repair scratched disks for about £2 - £3.
Try cleaning the disk with a soft wet cloth then dry it gently with a soft dry cloth and see if this helps first.

probably your memory card has had it...if it will let you reformat it, re-install flash card drivers and chuck a few games on and see what happens...also check inside card slot and make sure all the contact pins look nice and straight. if you can also just try a new memory card in the meantime to put your mind at rest concerning the problem coming from the ds...highly unlikely.
Could you please tell me the model of this DS card, then I would probably be able to suggest how to reinstall it. What may happen - when you was adding more .nds files either file structure of SD card got corrupted or system folder on SD card was overwritten or moved.
If I would know the model of card - I would suggest you the link with software you need to copy on freshly formattted micro SD card before copying any games.
You need to try to Update your PS3 from a memory card. Follow the directions on www.playstation.com to download the update using your regular PC and copy the update to a Memory card that has at least 120Mb of free space.
Go to www.playstation.com. Click on "Playstation 3", then click on "Playstation Network". Click on "System Update". Scroll to the bottom of that screen. Click on the next to last bullet called "Update using a PC" Follow the directions in detail.
Start by cleaning the UMD drive, you can do this with an alcohol-free CD wipe wrapped around a cotton bud (Q-tip) or preferably with an air duster (available from any good hardware or electronics store).
Next clean the disk(s), you can do this by turning the centre of the disk with one finger and holding an alcohol-free CD wipe to the disk surface with another, however you can buy UMD cleaning tools from most large game stores that make the job much easier.
