Question about Mitsubishi VS-45609 TV
My Mitsubishi big screen looks like it has a double exposure. Sort of like the red, blue and yellow are not lined up right. I have tried the contrast, tint, brightness, etc. Even tried disconnecting the cable and reconnecting. Any ideas?
Your set has what is know as convergence problem and is a popular problem in the rear projection sets, the only way to correct the problem is by replacing the amplifiers in charge of aligning all 3 colors, your set might only use two amps for all 3 colors,The IC's(amps) are both the same number and they are mounted in heatsinks because they get hot, they have a number in the front that looks like this STK--- ---,they run about 25.00 each and replacing them can be difficult because they need to be unsoldered and removed without damage to the main circuit board ,then the new ones need to be soldered in,sometimes the new ones need to be aligned from the service menu so all three colors line up.If you are familiar with tv service you have now a place to direct your attention but if you are not too familiar be safe and call for assistance from a servicer.Let us know if you need more information.
