Question about Flat Panel Televisions

TV dead. My BUSH LCD32TV16HD packed up about a month ago aged 9 months. I Couldn't find the receipt so Sainburys would not take it back. However last week I plugged the TV back in by accident and it worked again, last night packed up again, black screen, absolutely nothing.

Thankyou for your e-mail. After calling Sainsburys online customer care, they agreed to take the TV back if we could provide proof of purchase with a credit card statement, My sons father has requested the statement for what he thinks may be the card he used. If not then I will definately be back online to your team as it was great to know there is someone out there who can provide expert help.
Thanks again for your prompt reply

I have a bush 37" model number a637f that has

tried to unplug and re plugged the tv to reset any program and the power supply. then re plugged and turn it on again let see if it back to normal working. if still the same issue, check for stuck up button at the remote control.if the remote control is good then still the volume get intermittent in function, at this time you will need to ask for assistance at the supplier since it was covered with the warranty.

Have just retuned digital terrestrial receiver Matsui DTR -2 for our area, how do I now record tv programmes with my Bush VCR925NSILXI? On analogue TV the recording channel was Channel 9

Recording, amazingly, has nothing to do with your TV, it only monitors the playback or recording input of your VCR or DVD recorder - the Channel 9 you mention.
They have their own tuners, indeed DVD recorders have Freeview (or DTV) tuners so no need for a separate box at all - given that your TV has a DTV tuner too and if a recent flat screen type it will.
If you can afford it, this is a good time to drop VHS and get a DVD recorder. You'll find plenty on Amazon Electronics for a start.
Your Bush VCR will be redundant the moment the analogue service goes off, they haven't made a VHS VCR with a DTV tuner.
Depending on your area this is a few months off, even for the last area to change over anyway, here in London there's just shy of nine months left.

I have a ln-s3238d that i got a couple years ago. Last month it started getting a line of pixels running across the top of the screen. over the last month that problem has gron to four lines on top and...

Hi andrew, its not a big problem.. Decent TV. but the pixels are DEAD. that means you have to recover them by fixing the LCD. this would cost you around £40-60 for a 32 inch TV. hope this helps!

hi there.if you had the receipt you may have had a chance with getting a replacement,in view of previous faults.as it is,replacement is probably the cheaper option due to what repair shops charge.next time go for a panasonic or similar.they cost more, but ultimately last a lot longer..consider writing to the manufacturer stating the problems(tell them its your fourth one).they may replace it to save bad pr.?worth the price of a stamp to find out! hope this helps; regards, steve.

My problem is that when I watch my New Flat Screen 32in Sharp TV I see lines in the back ground and I purchased this TV a month ago is there anything you can do for me?

All you can get out of this will be people watching it for an excessive time on a non-moving screen such as a weather channel. You can't do nothing unless you have a receipt, then try to take it back.

Television just went dead. No power at all.

Hi,

Maybe you get rid of the TV so I can get the screen or I get rid of mine so you can get my power pack. Let me know what you think.

NO VIDEO

I have a Samsung 50" plasma, that has been blacking out over the last 6 months. A 9/2005 set. Now its practically unwatchable as it happens 3 times in an hour. Its not heat related - I have a high volume 9" fan activated on TV power on. Turning the set offf/on usually makes it come back for a now short while. Considering to go put it in the back of my pickup and park it in front of Best Buy and discourage Samsung purchases. This is the 2nd Samsung TV I've purchased (the other a 32" tube) I gave to my folks a couple years ago and its gone bad as well. Samsung product may look good, but their video engineers are not.
