You need to remove the bar from the wall than the slider goes on the bar and than you reinstall the bar again

You need to install a new moen cartridge its a single handle posi-temp cartridge you should be able to get 1 for free if you are the original owner by calling 1-800-buy-moen more than likely when soldering in the new valve a little bit of solder broke free into the cartridge or hard water. When the water gets turned off and then turned back on it can break free alot of particles that can get jammed up in these cartridges or any fixture for that matter you will need a cartridge puller to perform this job with ease.

I don't know if you had the mixing valve out or got it turned around but, try taking the handle off and operate the shower without the handle, in other words, turn the valve so the left side of the valve is now in the up position and just stick handle on and make sure you have your full range and hot and cold water. Two other possiblilities are, if you did not runwater before installing new valve, you may have gotten trash form the lines, plugging your valve. If you can't resolve the problem by mearly turning the mixing valve, you may want to remove it, make sure it's nott plugged and turn it 180 deg:

Installed a new moen adler tub faucet with shower diverter. When you turn on the shower water continues to come out of the tub faucet. Is there an adjustment or is it just the way it is??

Our Moen always dribbled a little since the diverter is metal-to-metal and doesn't really have any seal. The loss shouldn't be a stream though.

I could not find an exploded parts diagram for the Benton suite from Moen. I did find the bayhill which is very similar. Please see link below of exploded view. That should help you piece it back together.

Usually whenever you do any repairs on plumbing, you dislodge calcium from the inner surfaces of teh plumbing. Check to see if ther is a mesh filter in the inlet side of the head. and remove and clean it. otherwise you could remove it and use a vacuum yo try and remove any deposit that may be in it. If that is unsuccessful,
you can always return it, but always remember to open the fawcett and run it before installing the head.
This is an essential part of any plumbing job. Good luck

. If your local store refuse to replace it Moen will gladly do so with no problem.

They are good like that.

Shower water temperature regulation

The temperature is adjustable. The valve has a disc you pull off the front of valve and then rotate the seat I believe counter-clockwise. If you get the paperwork for this valve from moen it is very explanatory. I can help further if needed, Let me know!
