Question about Kingston 1GB Secure Digital Memory Card

My memory card was locked no one has unlocked

When trying to copy a photo from my PC to the card, I receive a message that the card is write protected. I've moved the switch on the side up and down, but I get the same error message regardless of the position of the switch.

I have a 1 gig Verbatim Secure Digital memory card and it doesn'tmatter how many times I change the lock/unlock tab position, I stillget the error message 'the card is write protected'.
I bought it to use in my Kodak C713 and it won't 'read' from the camerato my PC, but if I put it in my printer card slot, then it does.
I now want to use it for mp3 files and have reformatted it, but am still getting the lock/unlock problem.
(Sorry I just sent this problem to the wrong section of the forum)

I've solved this myself! Using my Canon Pixma MP800 printer
1. I Pressed the Memory Card button
2. Chose Settings
3. Selected Read/Write preferences (or properties)
4. The default was Read Only. I changed this to Read/Write
5. Placed the memory card into the memory card slot.
Hey presto! It now works and I am able to copy off mp3 files onto it.

After locking memory card, do I then unlock it to take pictures and will that then erase the memory card or can you tell me how to so

Locking the memory card prevents you from taking and adding photos to the memory card. It also prevents you from deleting photos from the memory card.
If you want to erase all the photos off the memory card. unlock the memory card, go to the camera's Menu and scroll through the settings ti Format the memory card, then format the memory card.

SOLUTION 1 - Unlock the memory card.

There is a Lock switch on the left side of the SD card. Make sure the Lock switch is slid up (unlock position). You will not be able to modify or delete the contents on the memory card if it is locked.

SOLUTION 2 - Toggle the lock switch.

If the lock switch is not on lock:
1. Slide the switch up and down. Repeat this 3 times.
2. Let it stay on the Lock position for 30 seconds.
3. Slide the switch up to unlock the card.
4. Try to transfer files into the device.

For non-SD cards: Format the card

The data on the memory card may be corrupted.

WARNING: Formatting will delete all the files in the device. Backup all your data before formatting.

My memory card is locked am not given lock number how to remove lock 2gb micro

Look closely at the memory card itself. There should be a tiny picture of a lock indicator on the card and a little tab to click or move to the lock position. There should also be a picture of an unlocked lock to signify which direction you need to move that little tab in order to unlock the memory card. Try sliding it to the unlock position to solve your issue.

My micro sd card lock how can unlock micro sd card

Locked Memory card.
Note:- Locking of memory card is a RANDOM process.(means it gets locked on its(memory card) "OWN')
1.Whenever a card gets locked, its mainly due to the following reasons.
(I)When you insert it into a uncompatible mode.
(II) when some unsupporte files are placed.
(III)When its for specific mobile.
100% working solution for LOCKED MEMORY CARD is :-
1.Use Unlocker(its like a pendrive device with 9V battery ),and its IC is programmed in such a way that it tests every possile code.
2.The one that sets mades the memory card Unlock.
3.BUT you cant know what the CODE was.
4. Data can NEVER be retraced.

Noye :-Buy an Unlocker available @ Rs.200.But you may not get the same problem often so take it to the retailer it will costaround Rs.20 for unlocking .
