I have the same problem ( this accures when you update something that is connected with the windows ). I know there is a way to get rid of it but I dont know the exact way. ( sry for english). Surch on Google, to find the way. And other thing if you have this mark.: You may be a victim of software counterfeiting:. For to long your computer will not work at the end coz the MIcrosoft ( I think ) has build a block for thouse pirates xp windows-es, And breaks it down in some time. It took my computer to not work like 3 months or so but nothing happens to your computer other than the windows brakes down. I cleaned my computer and everything is okey now but I Got this sign for mistake up again :D and I am wondering If there is any solution to get rid of It pls post an andswer or a Site that has the solution.

This sort of issue takes place usually after windows updates
Therefore the best solution is to uninstall the recent updates on your computer and restart again.

The easiest solution for this issue is to contact microsoft directly and let them know what the problem is 866-530-6599. Explain to the tech what is going on and they will walk you through putting in a new valid code. I had something similar when I swapped out the MB on my son's computer and formatted the HD (which I do often). I called MS and they helped me entering a new code.

Let me know how this works out for you.

IF - you have paied for your OS, then I don't se any problem in downloading a "propper" working copy from:
http://thepiratebay.org
on the other hand, if the OS is a copy with a crack, then go and by a legal version.
Bill will love you :-)

When less than a quarter feel the need to vote for the effort some of us at FixYou offer, I think to myself, ”is it worth it”.

They get help, and do not care to thank you; “thank you” do not cost a dime, so why????

Error message windows did not pass genuine windows validation you may be a victim of software counterfeiting

Who installed the Microsoft Operating System on your computer?
That person used a "non-genuine", i.e., "bootleg", version of Microsoft Windows.

If it was a computer-store, then contact 'piracy@microsoft.com' and report them for using "non-genuine" software.

Otherwise, click the link on the screen to start the process to purchase a genuine license to use the software.

You may be a victim of software counterfeiting.

Whenever you get a genuine windows validation error you must contact Microsoft to find out why you get the message.

Temporarily you can get rid of the message doing a System Restore to a date before the genuine windows validation error appeared for the first time.

To do system restore you can go to
Start button>Programs>Accessories>System tools>System Restore.

This means the Windows Validation Tool has checked your installed copy of Windows and has found it to be a non-genuine copy. This means the product key is non valid.

Where did you get the PC? If a "friend" installed Windows for you then he is using illegal product keys.

If you are sure your Windows is genuine, you need to telephone Microsoft and fight it out with them.
