DVD Timer not working

Panasonic DMR-E95H

I have had this machine forr over 2 years, and used it with no problems up until now.

Accepts stations when setting to timer record. When timer is set and red 'timer icon' is dispalyed nothing happens, icon stays in this mode throughout duration of set timing, and machine does not record anything.

Please advise...

It usually means that if it doesn't record you don't have a blank DVD in the slot. Hope this helps =)
