Compliancy : Wi-Fi®
Network Support : 802.11b/g
Wireless Technology : Wireless LAN

That is the internal wireless so no you dont you need any thing to set up a wireless connection
You need to set up your wireless network

Or you should have got an ethernet cable with the router usually small yellow, blue or blue. plug this cable into one of the ports on the back of your router then the other end of cable to the ethernet port on side (i think) of laptop anc conect phone line from main box to router. You dont need no software just switch on router wait a couple of minutes till all lights on router turn green and click on your internet explorer done!

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Netgear N300 is slowing down my internet connection

The router limits the data speed to the wireless reception.

802.11 G speed (maximum) is 54Mbps.

NetGear wireless router WGR614 v6 runs with speed 1 0 mbps instead of 54 mbps

how far away are you from your wireless router when your getting 10 mbps?
Please note that wireless will not guarantee speeds of 54 mbps.
It will dramatically decrease the farther away you or how much interference there is between your laptop and router.
Also check if your wireless router is set to 802.11 G mode. if you have any devices that only support 802.11B you will only get speeds up to 11mbps compared to G at 54mbps

Need network key for NETGEAR (virgin) to connect

for that you have to access your router.
connect your router to computer with ehternet cable.
then access it with following link.
http://192.168.1.1
or http://192.168.0.1
type user as 'admin' and password as "admin" or blank or 'password'

then go to wireless security then you find WEP or WAP key there but it is in * or # format so you can't know it.
So you have to set new key so you can easily know it.
Then set new network key then save and restart the router then you can connect it with new key.

Netgear

A good router to get with these would be a netgear WPN824 router. This is probably the best solution for you and has plenty of power. With it/ you will get an installation CD to help you. For further help with the installation, simply send me a message.

NetGear Super G 108Mbps Wireless Firewall

If you are connecting wirelessly, then it's more than likely that your wireless card or usb dongle cannot connect as you router is probably set at 108 mbps. Your receivers are more than likely only capable of connecting at 54 mbps so change the streaming rate on your router to 54 mbps. This will not alter your internet connection speed as the 108 mbps only refers to the rate of streaming speed on your local area connection (from one pc to another)
