Question about JVC GR-D50 Mini DV Digital Camcorder
I have in the past connected my JVC GR-D50 DV camera via Firewire to my PC to capture video. Last night the PC couldn't see it at all. I uninstalled the IEEE 1394 controller on the motherboard [Texas Instruments OHCI compliant] and reinstalled it. Still it couldn't be seen. I tried 2 different pieces of capture software [Ulead Video capture & ImageMixer1.1] - both reported Camcorder could not be found. Am running XP Pro 32bit SP2. I brought the camera to work and hooked it up to a Mac [none of my office PCs have firewire] using the same IEEE1394 cable. The Mac couldn't see it. I changed the cable for another. the Mac still couldn't see it.....So it must be the software in the camera. SO WHAT NOW?
