Question about Toshiba Satellite A135-S4527 Notebook
My question involves my laptop. It is a Toshiba Satellite
A135-S4527. I know that with most laptops there is no way to update graphics
cards since they are a part of the motherboard. I heard that it may be possible with some models. I have some games that I am trying to play (Halo 2, Call of Duty 4), but
there are compatibility issues that I need to resolve before I can play them. My
question is this; Is there a means to update this model's graphics card?
You might be able to commit more shared memory to your video in the BIOS settings. You can't pay $900 for a laptop and then expect it to have high-end options like an independent video card. I know with some Toshiba laptops, they only commit 64 or 32mb of RAM to the video card but you can change this. I think you can give the video card up to 224mb of RAM, so if you check and find that it has a lot less, you should change it in the BIOS. That being said. you should be able to play Halo 2 on it, but COD4 is probably not going to work unless you bring down the video resolution and features.
that's why gamers still play on desktops.
