My ibm s50 cannot start at all. when the power cable is connected there is power on the board but after pressing the switch on button the machine does not start.

check if the power cable is properly connected at the back port of the system. and can you hear the fan running sound from the system?
It may also be possible that monitor cable has become loose.check the cable connection for monitor too.

When the computer is turned on the light does not come on around the power button, but the computer sounds like it is on. The monitor says no signal

It sounds like either your connections to the motherboard are bad or your power supply is getting flakey. First I would check all the connections on the motherboard and make sure that they are all pushed in and completely connected. If that doesn't work you should test the power supply. You can either purchase a power supply tester (which is handy to have around) or have a local tech take a look at it.

I have no audio sound on my pc and not sure what audio bus driver i need for my system

no sound
1. muted - volume low
2. driver
3. speaker connection
4. speaker power - if needed

1. use speaker Icon in system tray
2. verify you need a driver by going to device manager and looking for UNKNOWN or OTHER devices not under SOUND AND ....you can also try to let windows find it by telling it to update and search the internet while connected of course OR go to mfg site - support - drivers/downloads - search your computer - use service tag number if available. --
3. I there is already sound drivers and no orphaned ones check that connections are in the right ports, etc.
4. power yes

I have a ploblem on my computer i can`t star it on

The way you make it sound, it seems you may not be plugged in. There is also the possibility of a faulty socket you have it plugged in to. If all that checks out negative, I would see about having that power supply checked.

CPU power problem

Check whether all connection are good and take out any CDs in the tray. I guess this must be a SMPS problem.

My speakers are not working.

try to test your speaker to the other pc;if its working it means your sound hardware or software got the problem.
to troubleshoot try to reinstall the sound driver,if it still have no sound, try to test some pci sound card to your motherboard...if it work, then you got a faulty soundchip.you must provide your own pci soundcard to get you a sound.

if the speaker is really the problem....try to check the speaker's LED if its on, if its not,try to check the power wire if it have a wire cut,if they do...try to connect and tape it,{tester is useful to check the wires continuity to troubleshoot}
if the speaker got power, try to check the audio wire if it contain cut or deform{you can use tester to check} if they do...connect the audio wire then tape it.

OR try to unscrew the speaker then check if there was burned electronic components inside,if they do try to replace it as same component value.
solder it carefully
