Question about Audio Players & Recorders
I have a 605 4GB, and it is slow as molasses. The problem folks, is that 802.11 G is a connection specification, not a speed garantee. The method of connection and transmission allows up to 54GBs of speed over the G connection. But you can still have a G connection and be recieving data at 128KBPS! If you don't belive Archos, try and connect to an open G - only network, and you should be able to connect. The processor in the device is very limited, and THAT is what makes the device slow. If someone would create a web browser with lower overhead, it could be sped up, but as there are so many platforms to write for out there, don't count on it. Open up the platform and let the open source world fix this, Archos!
