Question about Sunon (16-02-006) Fan Kit
I got a tower from a friend he told me power supply was bad so i replaced with same power supply green light comes on from board but front button wont turn on no green or blue or yellow led and no abcd lights on in back of tower no smell processor looks and smells fine computer was in a electrical surge and was told caps leek does this make sence and how do i fix thanks
In my experiance you have a fried mother board.
Question are you getting any display from your monitor - if you are there is hope - if not the same thing that took out the power suply has probably fried the motherboard.
The only other thing I would sugest is to flash the BIOS - either locate JP1 or remove the battery (looks like a whatch battery) and cross the terminals with a screwdriver - re-install the battery and see how it goes.
Point: No display = no motherboard.
Good news is that the RAM, Procesor and other components are probably good.

Tips for a great answer:
A solid green light means the computer is operating normally.
A solid yellow light indicates the power supply is operating normally but the computer is not processing data.
This could mean there is a problem with the CPu or another component on the motherboard.
((A blinking yellow light indicates the power supply is receiving power from the wall, but not functioning properly.
This generally means the power supply itself is bad and should be tested or replaced.))
A blinking green light means the computer is in standby mode.
You should consider visiting Dell Support and downloading the manual for your
your Dell computer. So use the LED power light codes if your Dell computer has them.
hope this helps
