Question about YouTube Videos

3 problems-Good Luck!

A few weeks ago my computer had a big virus problem. I have Trend Micro PC-cillin as my virus software. Well, it got some of the virus, but left a lot still on my comp. I then downloaded Spybot which seemed to have gotten the rest. Me personally, I don't believe it's all gone. For 3 reasons: #1. This might be their server, but Hotmail keeps telling me when I'm in my e-mail (after reading a message if I go to delete/respond whatever) "cannot connect to server". I hit the button a few more times, I get 'connected' but this keeps happening. #2. If I go to search a website, say Yahoo, I google "Yahoo" then click the link. It'll take me to another "search engine" I then hit the back button, click the Yahoo link again, it goes to another "search engine" go back, click the Yahoo link again and it finally takes me to Yahoo, and #3. I never had a problem with Youtube. Now when I go to watch a video it downloads 30 seconds then freezes. I have deleted my cache/cookies/etc. but nothing works. Their "help" section is no help. So I'm hoping if you can tell me what to do and if I still have a virus which I think I do. And if I do none of my software picks it up. Please help. Thanks! -Michele

Ok did what you said and it seemed to take care of problem #2 so far. But Youtube is still only doing 30 seconds of it's video. Haven't been on Hotmail yet.

Ok I did what you suggested and Youtube is still not working. I forgot to mention that a few days after we "fixed" the fake search engine website it started up again. So I'm back at square one.

Music23mjp, sounds like you still have a virus on there. What i would suggest to do is to update both anti-virus wares completely then run one right after another. After you do this i then suggest to restart your computer, and run the two virus programs at the beginging of your start up. This should eleviate those last few buggers which tend to associate themselfs with startups.  -Please post with what you decide to do and how you do it. -I look forward to your posts.

alright well let me look into it a bit more, i'll post when i find something.

  • Eeeeeeeeeekz Nov 16, 2008

Allright i looked a bit further into this problem and could come up with, your adobe and java software being out of date, you can go to and download the recent update for your system, along with java update which can be found at,

    Hope this helps.

    wow wow wow,
it sounds like you have a crazy virus on your  computer, so let me ask you this, is this a personal computer or a work computer?

  • Eeeeeeeeeekz Nov 17, 2008

    All right,
Well i would like to say i can do more for you but without being able to actually see your computer it will be rough, you will probably have to take it into a computer shop to get all the kinks out. I wish i could help you more and i most certainly will try to answer your questions but there is only so much i can do without the actual computer.

A friend ussed my computer aand went on her face book page now I can not get her page off so I can go on my face book page what do I do

As others have suggested, I would recommend clearing your browser cache. Also try using a different browser and see if you can access your Facebook that way. If you're using IE8, I'd recommend using Google Chrome or Firefox. Are you able to browse other websites as well or is it just your friends Facebook. It may also be that your computer was infected with some malware or virus. If that's the case, you can try running an anti virus or even a free online virus scan like Trend Micro's Housecall > Free Online Virus Scan Antivirus Software Trend Micro USA

Hope this helps!

Shockwave/bug in the game

First, update your java runtime environment software to the latest version for here:

Then update your Adobe flash player software to the latest version.
For Internet Explorer you need this update:

For Firefox, Netscape, Opera and Chrome use this update:

If that doesn't fix it you might have some viruses and malware.

Start your PC and press F8 several times until the boot menu comes up. Then select "Safe Mode with Networking". Now get some or ALL of the FREE programs below.

Download, Install and Run Malwarebytes Anti-Malware:
When Installing choose the non-pro version.

Download, Unzip, Install and Run TDSSKiller:

Download, Install and Run Super Anti-Spyware:

If you have an outdated Anti-virus program then Download, Install and Run Avira Anti-Virus:
Make sure to select ALL of the "threat categories" when you install or configure Avira.

You should be in pretty good shape if you run and install all of these programs.

"This page has insecure content."

I would suggest you delete chrome and then reinstall it. If your virus protection isn't picking up anything, then it could be that chrome is corrupted and will need to be reinstalled.

I can't get on facebook or my space, this anti virus thing comes up and wants me to buy it..just happen a few mins ago

Hello :

Here is what to do : Just go to and download internet explorer again and install it , then reboot your system . I'm sure that this will solve the problem . any way , why don't you try other internet communication softwares like ( firefox or google chrome) those both are great also . I advice you to have more than one internet communication software . I already have three just in case if one of them is corrupted . I have ( Internet explorer and firefox and google chrome ) . just try the idea and you'll be satisfied with the result .

For the anti virus problem , just buy it or install a free anti virus software like [ Avast home edition ]

If this solution is helpful please click a thumbs-up rating below.

Have a great day,
