Make sure you grease the ends of the inker or it will burn off and go bad fast. The ends and the groove where it rests in the ink table

Hi.
Change the ink roller. Your machine uses the IR93 roller. You can obtain these from good office supply stores, or check with your paper supplier.

I replaced the roll of paper and now it will not

The Casio DR-T220 does not use regular adding machine tape, it requires a thermal tape since it is a thermal printer. There is no ink or ink ribbon in this caculator, it is heat activated and it is the special paper that make the numbers appear. Thermal tape is available at all office supply stores.

Cannot read #'s on cash reg. tape

Many times its not easy to seat the inker. Also these machines have 2 rubber type wheels that will harden if the inker is not changed often enough. Also some people use thermal paper in these machines and that is not good either. if you are using thermal paper try using standard 21/4" adding machine paper. The type wheels may also be filled with glonck. you also may have bad inker. if the are crumbly they wont work

Replacing lock/switch combo.

Hi.
The best way to find the screw or clip that is holding it is to take the tray out of the drawer and look on the inside of the drawer. You can see all the points where screws come through the drawer. Just find the one that is still holding on.

Black spool that holds tape is broken

Hi.
They tend to be different in each model, so you would need to purchase one from a Casio dealer for that model. either lookup a CAsio dealer in your phone book, or online and tell them you need a paper takeup spool.

Output tape ink is fine in the X and Z mode, but . . . . . . .

I've never had an issue with printing only in certain modes. If the feed button doesn't work either in certain modes, then I waould say you have either a damaged mode switch (under the key), or a faulty keyboard. If any liquid has been spilt on it, this sort of issue can arise.

Hi.
Casio usually call it a takeup reel. It must be purchased from a Casio dealer so just look up your local Casio cash register supplier and they can order one for you.
