This is a program rating in the parental controls in the menu , this type of rating is locked bcause of the rating settings , to unlock you will have to set the rating lower or turn it off
hope that is a fixya rating and thanks for using fixya!

When i plug in my tv it has a sound then it stops, the on light just blinks and it dose not stop

Is the blinking light the power indicator or the lamp indicator? Is it sending a diagnostic code such as five flashes and a pause, repeated? If the lamp indicator is flashing, the bulb is burned out.

If the sound does not come from the speakers, and is not a soft click from a relay (electromagnet-operated switch), but is a crackle, thump or squeal, then you have either a high-voltage breakdown or a shorted component in the power supply.

Other possible noise sources are the lamp cooling fan or color wheel (spinning disk).

Whatever is going on, the set has detected a fault and is turning itself off to protect other components. The noise could be normal startup sounds that you don't notice in normal operation because they aren't masked by audio from the program material, or it could be a cutout relay in the protection system.

Bloodhound Exploit Virus

The Bloodhound.Exploit.6 virus is a Microsoft Internet Explorer/Outlook Express vulnerability discovered in February 2004. The vulnerability results from the incorrect handling of HTML files embedded in CHM files. (CHM is the Microsoft-compiled HTML help format.) However, because of Norton Antivirus' (and other antivirus programs) ability to detect virus patterns, this heuristic detection of viruses can sometimes lead to false positives.

In most cases the antivirus program detects the virus in Temporary Internet files that have been downloaded from a web page. Such as:

C:\Documents and Settings\UserName\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5\KXURSTI7\10523[1].htm

In these cases, the Bloodhound.Exploit.6 ends up being a false positive detection of a virus. It looks like a virus to the scanner, but in reality it isnt. Now although the exploit is a real threat and can cause damage to a system, these false positive diagnoses from the antivirus software usually are the cause. I have had web pages and even corrupted Hijackthis logs cause this false positive from the antivirus program.

If Norton Antivirus' AutoProtect Settings are set to High for Bloodhound, the program will produce false positives for many files. The default level is recommended for most protection.

Magnavox TV: Somehow the record button on the remote will not record VCR. It ejects the tape and does not record. Please help. Thank you.

Try Using a new VHS tape. If the new tape ejects when press recording, the recording switch inside your VCR could be defective.
Let me know if you require further assistance.

My tv has a black screen with a message that says PROTECTED PROGRAM by TV-14

Your TV's program rating, also known as parental lockout, is active and set for TV-14 Your set will block any programs broadcasted with this or a higher rating. You need to enter your menues and find the one related to the rating guide. This menu also has a password, usually 4 digits to gain access. You need to change the rating or disable the lockout. This link has a good description of the program ratings...

Mitsubishi VS-45607

This model is equipped with a self-diagnosis feature to help with diagnosis of shutdown problems. To activate this turn the unit on let it shutdown then press the input/device and menu buttons on the front panel simultaneously and hold them in for 5 seconds after 5 seconds the power LED on the front panel will blink a two digit sequence. This will be one set of blinks a short pause then another set of blinks, this will repeat 5 times. 1 - 2 = no error detected 2 - 1 = X-ray protect (high voltage or beam current) 2 - 2 = Short protect (short protect monitors low voltage supplies) 2 - 3 = Deflection protect (this could be loss of vertical or horizontal deflection) 2 - 4 = Vertical protect (usually loss of vertical from the source)When you find the numbers, let me know.

Shutdown at power with self diagnosis error 2-2. Check for open fuses F9A04 and F9A05 part # 283P144080 on the +24 and -24 volt lines. If the fuses are open the convergence output circuit would be suspect. 2. Shutdown at power with self diagnosis error 2-1. At power on check for 12-volts DC at connector KH pin 8, if missing check IC9C51 part # 270P990010 and L9C52 part # 441D009020 on the Signal PCB
