Question about Philips 42FD9932 42 in. Plasma Television

Turn on then Tick Tick Tick

We have a 2002 Phillips 106cm plasma and when we turn it on the green light flashes on and off with a tick tick tick noise. The TV has not been layed down at all, but has been switched off for a few months. Any solutions?

Philips flat screen 42" flashing red light 7 times it stops for 5 seconds and 7 more flashes if i unplug and plug it a few time it will come on

Make sure the mains plug is firmly inserted. The most likely cause of the problem is a power supply problem which will be uneconomical to repair in the current day. Cheaper to replace with an LCD.

Common short the cover cap over the video & sound boards short out if you remove it the cap only (shield metal) it usually will fix this

50 inch phillips plasma is very difficult to turn on.
