You will need to buy a R4 card from here http://www.r4ds.co.uk/

you then download this software : http://www.utorrent.com/?client=utorrent1830 to enable you to download the software from the internet

then use this site to search for the games you want http://www.mininova.org/

once you have downloaded the game - copy them into the games directory on the R4 card

Check out Romulation.net
It depends on the card you have, if your card supports nds files (it should), then go to Romulation.net or go to Google and search up NDS Roms.
Afterwards, use a card reader and put your Memory card in it, and then move the nds files you downloaded into the memory card.

Hi,

If you go to a site called www.mininova.org and type into the search box nintendo ds it will bring up all of the .nds game files available.

However, to you this you iwll also need a torrent. This basicly deals with the download. I like www.utorrent.com as it is a very small program and works well with mininova.

When you have installed utorrent and decided which .ds file to download it will tell you that it needs a program to open the file with. Click 'browse' and then choose 'utorrent' click use this for all of these file types.

It will download by default to your downloads folder. You can find this by clicking my computer-C:-Users-(your name)-downloads

You only need the .NDS file.

Hope this helps

My N5DS is stuck on loading!

Try to put the n5ds into another computer to try and format, if you can't do a format on the other computer as well you know it has to be a faulty n5ds cause there is no way both computers are going to be defective.

Prob loading free ds games off pc.

When you say, "Keeps Loading Up..." what do you mean?

If it boots as if they were no N5 card, then I would suggest the N5 card or Micro SD card isn't seated properly and making contact with all the game slot contacts.

N5DS - How do i use it?

1. If you don't already have a micro sd card or reader, then get one.
2. Go to homepage of N5DS (http://www.dsn5.com/EN-N5/n5-en.htm) set language to english on site, go to download, and then download update v 1.19 kernel(English) to desktop.
3. If you don't have winrar to extract rar files go get the english version at rarlabs.com and install it.
4. Extract the kernel for n5ds by right clicking it and click extract. Extract it to the desktop. open the folder until you see the folder with a bunch of files like .dat moonshell and stuff. then connect your micro sd reader to your computer and then put it in micro sd card. Once your computer installs it drag all those files into the micro sd card. Then when you turn it on it should work. What games were you talking about? like nintendogs and stuff? those are commercial roms and I cannot provide ayou a link to. Or was it homebrew games?

Try format the microSD memory to FAT then download again the system files and test again the card.
If not working then you have a defective card so try to find help from your seller or a method to make the card work again.

I am not a Nintendo fan but if you go to the Download section of the Nintendo website you will probably find what you are looking for. You may have to show this to your grandson (if you are not into computers). :-) Both the user manuals as well as their game manuals are there for free downloads.

Ds cartridge don't work

Usually these cards are problematic because get stuck when you fill the available memory with game saves and you must use a special SLOT-2 reader/writer to delete, add or edit files in the card memory from a computer...

If your card seller didnt included that reader/writer with the card then you must call them for support on your problem or try to guess what card model is yours, If you know that info is useful to put it in your question, If not then you have to make a research in internet.

Good Luck...

Usually the seller load the card with games so you only need to insert the card with DS game shape into the DS game slot-1. And that must work for long time as you dont overfill the card with saved games.
When you turn ON the NDS with the card placed (like a common game), The DS card should show a menu to choose between the available games in it.

If you cant see any game, menu or whatever then you might have a blank card so you might need to load the games yourself into the card. You must have a flash linker (big slot-2 GBA cartridge) that must have a jack to plug the USB cable from your computer.

You can download the required software latest files from the manufacturers website. Once connected, turn on your DS, your PC will recognize it and you will be able to drag and drop files, then you can delete or copy some less used game roms or save files from the card to your PC leaving free space for the others to run.

If nothing of that works for you, then you would try to find a FAQ or support forum site where you can find more options to solve this issue. All the cards work almost the same way but each one has his own issues, manuals and FAQs. And some sellers are selling the DS cartridge only, without the flash linker or USB cable and many people dont know with that tools they can exchange and download and load other ROMS, clear the card when stuck or corrupted, etc.

Good Luck...

Multi game card for ds lite

Thanks for giving the card name, that helps to investigate possible causes of your problem.

The common causes of these problems are full cards memory because the seller fill the memory with game roms to make the device sell more attractive, though to save games you need memory and completelly filling the memory capacity of these cards make them to have issues like the ones you told before.

The good thing is that you can connect the NDSL to your PC throught the suplied USB cable and SLOT-2 (GBA game slot) N-Card Flash Linker cartridge.
