I have a 1991 Isuzu Stylus XS and the Blower Fan under the glove box quit. I know that the fuses are all good, the motor works when you put 12VDC directly to it. The AC compressor comes on and the blue light but the only way to get the air to flow is to open the outside air flap and let the natural speed of the car help push some air in.

if fuses are good, check for power at blower motor, when truck is running and a/c on. the resistor and the switch provide ground, so the blue/white wire should have power, and the blue/black wire should have NO power, if it does have power, then most likely the resistor is bad. if it has no power and the motor doesnt run, the motor is bad.

Did you find out a solution to your problem? I have a 1996 trooper that is showing most of the same symptoms that you have. I'm curious as to your fix. Was it simply a bad ground?

if the lower fan speeds dont work but the fastest speed does the heater fan resistor block needs replacing. If the highest fan speed doesnt work leave it on there and check for power at heater blower fan, if power is on one wire and the other is an earth the blower motor fan needs replacing. Use a normal globe test light to check this. If no power on any wires to fan go back and check all fuses in car and under bonnet with same test light. If fuses are ok possible open circuit wire to fan.

Have you checked the blower motor fuse and the blower motor relay? check the fuse 1st, use a test light and have the engine running, if the fuse is good check the blower motor relay it is located under the dash to righ of the steering cloumn tap on it with the blower turned on, see if all at once the blower turns on.
