Question about Garmin eTrex GPS Receiver
I have a Garmin Etrex Legend Cx that I use mostly for geocaching. It powers up normally and works fine when I am out hunting for caches. For several months I have been using Garmin Communicator software on my PC (Vista) to send cache sites from my PC to my GPS. Suddenly 2 days ago I encountered a problem. When I hook up my powered-on GPS to my computer using a USB to Mini USB connector the GPS turns off immediately and wont come back on until I disconnect the connector. I have tested the connector on my digital camera and on my Garmin Nuvi from my car and everything works just fine. Plese let me know if anyone else has experienced this problem and might know cause and/or solution. Thanks

Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of.(from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones)
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

The preloaded maps are VERY generic, mostly major highways. They are not useful for geocaching.
The good news is that you can download free topo maps created by a very generous Canadian soul, Dale Atkin. The maps are free but donations are accepted. He is also working on US topo maps. I've used Ibycus and Garmin topo maps and prefer the Ibycus version.
If this solves your situation, please come back and rate our answer. Thankyou.
