Bad fuser Laserjet 3380

I have a Laserjet 3380 that keeps jamming at the fuser and is not fusing the toner to the paper well. I have an old Laserjet 3330. They look pretty close to the same machine. When I look up the part numbers for the fuser, they show different numbers, but I was wondering if they might be interchangeable. The older 3330 has a broken scanner, but the print engine seems to be fine.

Paper jamming in toner cartridge area continously in hp lserjet pro mfp m225dn printer, please help to clear the fault

Sound like fuser is bad. If it jams under toner it's probably actually jamming in the fuser location which is right after toner

Hp laserjet 3030 paper jam

I would start here by cleaning the feed rollers but there could be several causes to this. It could be the fuser film is slipping and not getting the paper out in time thus throwing a false paper jam message. It could be the fuser isn't turning at all and not allowing the paper to enter. Normally if the paper is making it out of the tray then it isn't the feed roller but that is always the cheapest place to start. You can clean the roller(s) with an alcohol wipe or rag with alcohol on it.

Does the paper make it past the toner cartridge? I have seen toner cartridges lock up and cause this type of problem as well. If the paper isn't making it past the toner I would try replacing the cartridge (even if its with an old one just to test the paper path).

I just replaced the Fuser as well as a new Toner cartridge in my HP Laserjet P3005. Getting an error message after initializing that states "13.20.00 Jam Inside Rear Bin". I've taken it all back apart and...

First, make sure that both wire connectors on the right side of the fuser are seated correctly.
Then, see if there is paper sticking a little way out of the fuser. If so, chances are the exit sensor in the fuser is not functioning correctly.
You can put the old fuser back in and verify this if no error codes come up.

Paper Jam 13.20 on HP 4015

13.20 PAPER JAM CHECK REAR DOOR

Media stopped in the paper path during power on or when the top door was closed.

Action:

1. Open top cover and remove toner cartridge. Remove all media in the paper path, and then re-install toner then open and close the top cover.

2. Open read door and pinch blue latches on fuser and pull it out. Inspect the sensor flag for correct movement and any paper obstructions in the fuser rollers. Re-install fuser and Confirm rear door closure.

3. Remove tray 2 and confirm paper is not jammed in the pickup area. Confirm paper size adjusters in the tray are correctly set for paper being used. (Do not set back paper stop to ANY)

4. Replace any defective sensors or flags

Poor prints and paper jams

Sounds like you probably need a new fuser. Smearing is a good indicator of the fuser not getting the toner to fuse to the paper, also, if it is jamming a lot near where the paper enters the fuser, there is a good chance there is some damage on the fuser unit itself.

Printing a blank line down my page. Seems to be etched in the paper

You toner is probably bad. Trying changing the toner. If you still have the same problem after that, something maybe blocking the laser scanner. You maybe able to clean the optics yourself, but it could be difficult.

Paper Jam? Print quality

If the toner wipes off the printed pages, then the fuser is the problem....not hot enough or enough pressure to heat the toner to the paper. I would try to reseat the fuser...make sure it is making good electrical contact. I have also seen the paper actually wrap around the fuser roll, which would cause the same symptoms...be careful removing the paper if that has happened...the fuser roll can be easily damaged !

HP LASERJET 4 PAPER JAM 13

Rollers do not turn on!
Rollers are driven by a motor.
How is the printer telling you this information? (does the PC give an error, or the printer flash lights)

Does the paper make it out of the machine?

Is this "Rollers in the Back" the Fuser Unit?

is The Fuser unit is going bad,
if you open the back top cover, where it gets real hot, where the paper exit's, you should see two rollers, one orange, one either brown or black.. if that orange roller is damaged, has crease's, or covered with black toner, if the paper jams here alott, you probably need a new fuser unit. there is a pm kit available which includes the fuser and rollers, transfer, etc, which this site might have

Where is this printer jamming? Just as soon as the job is sent?
Just before the Toner Cart?
Just before the Fuser?
Just after it goes through the Fuser?
