Need to know the value of a resistor

Hi;
I need to repair a control board in a Frymaster spaggetti Majic II. The board has a blown resistor and of course all the info on the resistor was blown away with it.
The part # for the board is a 1060371 and the resistor I need is located at R-20 on the board.
Frymaster is offering me the complete board at a little over 400.00 but it's hard to pay that when all I need is a 20 cent resistor. They are no more help then that.
Let me know if you can help me out.

Thanks!

Tim, I am a commercial hvac, refrigeration, and commercial kitchen equipment mechanic. I have rebuilt many of those units. While the notion that all it might be is a 20 cent resister is noble, you are forgetting that this particular circuit has been in service in airborn oil, dust, moisture, spices AND MORE THAT attack ELECTRICAL/ELECTRONIC/COMPUTERIZED equipment.

After many years of repairing vrs replacing, the failure rate was so high in other components and circuits that I realized it just wasn't worth it. Its NOT JUST THE COST OF SERVICE AND PARTS, but also THE DOWNTIME AND LOST SALES you need to take into consideration as well.

Take it from a professional, REPLACE THE BOARD!!!

SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

The treadmill have dcmd67 control board I need to know what value resistor R 19 have

I can't help you (directly) with the resistor value, but be aware that if it exploded, there is probably another bad component (such as a capacitor, transistor, and/or an SCR). Replacing only the resistor may result in the same problem, or may not even work at all due to another bad component. If you do find out the value, try putting in a resistor of the same value, but with a higher wattage rating. I once had a washing machine in which the model had a known problem with circuit boards blowing. I solved it by replacing a bad transistor and installing a higher wattage resistor that had blown up like yours. It never failed again. The way I found the value of the blown resistor is, I looked up a replacement board online, then magnified the photo, and looked at the color code on that same resistor in the photo. How I found the bad transistor is too complicated to explain in few words, but you can google the procedure. (You'll need a multi-meter at the very least; preferably _with_ a built in transistor checker. However, a _totally_ blown transistor can be found with only the resistance settings on a regular multi-meter).

Best of luck...

R47 resistor is blown on Neff S5453X0GB/07 control board. I can't make out the value as it is badly damaged - anyone know the correct value so that I can replace it (TY7 is blown as well!).

HI.We cannot really but identify the correct resistor value unless we can identify or determine the color coding on the resistor. Each color has a corresponding value and tolerance as well.If you can't indentify the color coding then you can refer to its diagram usually printed out on the side of the control board or near thecontrol board. We cannot but cannot give a guess value unless color coding is given.Thank you for choosing FIXYA.

On the circuit, one of the resistors got blown up

U can see one or two bands of the colors of the resistor right?Compare it to a couple resistors beside it or around in the board.U should know and determine it values.

Blown resistors in Soundstream Reference 300

Dude I hate to say this but the whole thing is shot. I am a solder/ board repair technitian for the US Navy and by looking at these pictures you have not only bad components but also a burnt borard. This is what they call a multilayer board which means there is more than one layer of circuitry. Looking at the resistors I am able to see the board waffers which means in order to repair this problem you will need copper to repair the tracks, small eyelets to replace the through-the-board solder joints, eppoxy, verry percice dremal tool, a steady hand, lots of patients and time. I wish that there was some good news to tell you but I am sorry. By the way the resistors appear to be about a 200 ohm resstor with a tollerance level of +/- 10%

if burned components are on output stage or amplifier section on board..Then look at the oposite side of amp..Both amplifier section should be a mirror image oof componentc from other..that way you can know the values of parts. If they are on power supply section ..Then you might need manual if available..
